The Manchester United Thread

Zzeezzy just run out of meltdowns after a year with Moyes and two years with LVG.

Wish we had Di Maria when Mourinho was here. Also can't believe some on here didn't want Matuidi :O

Question to everyone, though mostly United fans. We will make 4 signings, though I suspect only one will be a mega price. Who would you rather have, Griezmann or Verratti

As much as I love Griezmann would take Verratti over him probably, only concern is I think Verratti can be a bit injury prone which you don't want when your paying so much

Oooh toughie :P normally I would say Verratti. But with our goal scoring problems this season would go with Griezmann.

So nothing new in that Griezmann interview then.

I love Griezmann. Most know I've wanted him at the club since Sociedad. But there are even fewer players like Verratti, so I'd probably want him, just. One can dream

Hey Mike why not have both ;)

Nothing that get's put up in here is anything new on him is it? But at least that one has actual quotes from him rather than the usual speculation from one bad journalist piggybacking off another that he's close to agree this or that away from Madrid that then get's run with like it's gospel. It's an interesting exercise watching this play out in here with how peoples emotions roll on pretty much nothing.

As regards Utd, as neither are relevant to L'pool, I'd say it's imperative you win a cup or (naturally) even better get the Europa League final/ win it to have something to sell to players of their ilk. Finishing where you currently are, making it 3 out of the last 4 missing the CL and crashing out the groups the one season you were in it lessons the appeal that much further that even money struggles to overcome when we're talking this calibre of player.

Silverware at the least would help that sell on the Mourinho project.

Personally don't think we need to win anything. Yeah would be nice. But new signings can see how well project Mourinho is coming along. Signings like Zlatan, Pogba, Mky. Huge improvement in our style of footy especially going forward and still good at the back. Even bigger financial growth announced. Comm Shield in the bag, final of the EFL Cup and I think the only club still in all comps this season. Tbh just my opinion but I think money is just as important to players these days than CL. We will be fine signing players this summer, and from the sound of Mourinho comments he's identified his targets and sounds confident RD will get them for him.

if united finish top four and offer atletico close to 90 mil theres no way they would refuse.Fully expect griezmann at old trafford in the summer, maybe even if we dont qualify for champions league
