I agree with Bojan Djordjic on MUTV. We didn't play with any real width in the second half and the few times we did go wide it was after slow build up play allowing there defence to get set and double up on Rashford and Martial who I thought didn't see enough of the ball in the second half.
 
Must say, thought the subs were terrible. Not on Jose's behalf, he needed to change something, but in terms of the subs themselves not impacting the game.

I thought Shaw had a decent game until he went off, some glimpses of what he brings. Miniature positive today.

Yeah have to agree. The players coming on bar Rashford aren't going to change the game. And Rashford was trying to hard and was over running the ball and forcing passes. Jose making a real emphasis in the poor quality in the final 3rd and the lack of quality finishers in the team.
 
Zlatan absolutely ****** and fuming at the teams performance. And especially his own, taking full responsibility for us not taking the points today.

Feel free mate. Seriously not arsed in game playing. In fact, go all out and make it a permy ban to compound the selective hypocrisy of the past week. (And I'm not referencing Tezzz there. He pushed too far.).

Again, everyone will have off days. Don't knee jerk this. Plus we had a key man (mhki) out injured today. Our priority should be getting an adequate replacement for Michael carrick.

We are having a lot of them at home this season. Nothing knee jerk in what I posted at all. If Zlatan has an off day we will continue to struggle for the reasons I mentioned. Rashford and Martial are young and lack consistency and goals. Mata needs space to flourish which we lack at home against most teams. And a team like Utd should not struggle if 1 player is missing( Mky ). Attackers are more crucial for me then CM.

Without good CMs to provide good service, what good does having world class forwards do?
 
Right now it seems like the team will do as well as zlatan does, if he has a good day the team wins, if he has a poor game points are dropped. A team can't be so reliant on one person showing up if they want a decent chance of winning
 
One of the biggest misses today was Herrera for me. Not just his quality on the ball but the tempo he plays at. Never takes to many touches, presses high up the pitch and is always available in the final 3rd when we are on top in games.
 
Now that I've calmed down a little, I think in hindsight, those off the ball incidents just screwed the game up. Surman being sent off screwed it up for us, as it forced them 100% into parking the bus whereas prior to that, they seemed to be in limbo, not sure what to do and we were tearing them apart. That doesn't excuse our lack of quality in the second half, but it did **** up the game.

Yeah also noticed in the second half the intensity change in our players. Pulling out of 50/50 and what not.
 
Zlatan will be a big miss but Mourinho confirmed Mky will be back. Big positive today, well 2 actually. We created still a lot of chances. And Luke Shaw. He got high praise off Mourinho on one MUTV interview and from some other pundits. He was very good today. Never backed out of any challenges and some crunching ones to. His passing was solid as what ever defending he had to to also. And as the game went on grew into the attacking side of the game. Long may his starts continue now. Needs to build up momentum for the crucial end of season push. And more importantly next season.

Defensively he was good but i feel like he's lost that electric pace he once had.
