Mata said on his blog; "The truth is I’m feeling much better now and I hope to be back with the team soon, to try to help in the last spell of the season."

Would be good to have him back as an option for the run in, particularly in the EL if we go all the way. For all the pace and thrust we have with Martial, Rashford, Lingard, Mkhitaryan & co - it's nice to have that little bit of classy guile in the final third too.

Really is a quality player! And can unlock a defence in a tight game or pop up with a vital goal. Be great to have him back. Mou will be happy if he comes back a bit earlier.
 
De Brun also backing claims in France about Silva story. Saying he's been told by someone or another. Him and Griezmann would transform out attack to one of the best in Europe. How do you think will line up with the both of them 4231.

The discussion about one or both is moot. Not getting either unless we are in the CL

He probably decided that if he can't plug all the leaks in the squad, offense is best defense. Splash a warchest on attacking talent and hope they will score enough to nullify your defensive deficiencies.

You say this, but they brought in 9 players, 6 of whom where first teamers. They simply prioritised badly
 
I don't rate Bernardo silva that highly tbh to "transform our attack" He's like Mata but with more pace.

Might sound daft but one player id love us to sign is Adama Traore. Just something about him when ive seen him play that I really like. Very direct, quite strong, quick. With the right development I think he could be a really good player on the right hand side. Always seems to be a handful especially when coming off the bench.

I watched him a lot at youth level and s but since he left Barca he has defo regressed a **** of a lot. Poor touch, decision making, no end product. Don't know what's happened to him tbh.
 
How can you not rate Bernardo Silva if he's like Mata but with Pace? :O

B. Silva is also very good at taking people on, he's also just 22 years old!

If Mou is gonna move to his 433/451 like when he first arrived, BSilva / Martial / Rashford & Griezman are ideal for the wider slots.

What about lingard? And Rashford gonna be squad player for another season? I think he's proven he can start games on the wing or up top?

Yeh his decision making does seem to hold him back a bit but I still think hes got a lot of that raw talent still there. Do you not think we could get him back on track with the right coaching? Whenever Ive seen him play for Boro this season, especially coming off the bench, he never stops closing down and defenders hate him. Pretty decent on the ball too but like you say its his decision making and end product that let him down.
 
Maybe something like this, could easily change to a 4-1-4-1 in other games with Dier or whoever we'll sign as the Anchor.

But for who if you are gonna buy Silva & Greizman?

Has he? He looks better but still needs more end product to be the line leader for me. He has 5 goals and 1 assist in 27 games in the Prem. Still an impact player for awhile yet in my book. In the top 4 race, the goalthreat has too be pushing 20-30 a season easy

and Lingard is a squad player at best, move mata into the herrera slot, and put jesse in if needs be but a rare starter if you're thinking of buying both Silva & Greiz really.

There's no way Mata can carry out the role Herrera has in our team. Herrera is the unsung hero, does all the mucky work. It'd be like asking Silva to do Fernandinho's job.

And I agree with what you're saying about Jesse, but something the likes of him, Herrera etc do that some of the more glamour names possibly don't, is do exactly what you tell them with every fibre in their body. Easily motivated.

Tbh Lingard is a squad player at best and is only getting game time due to our other main attackers being out of form. Mata is not a guarenteed starter and I don't think he minds as long as he gets decent mins in a season. And Rashford ain't ready to lead the line for us yet through a season.
