You've measured defensive activity. Any player will see those numbers inflate in the same role. He's decent tactically but it's ridiculous to suggest that he's a top destroyer. Kanté's role in the Chelsea's catennacio is much more demanding. Him and Matic do the job of 3 men. Kanté plays as a B2B, defending much more space than Hererra. It's just Mourinho getting the best out of a player.
The first issue is that none of these stats are posession adjusted for starters. You then consider that different positions/roles in different systems see a different level of defensive activity. Coquelin is better than Kanté and Hererra in virtually all of those stats. Context is needed.
