Yeh but he didn't build it in one season, Mourinho is known for getting it right in the second, I just hope that we're in the Champions League for that.

ive never criticised jose, all i suggested is de gea wont win a CL medal at united next season but could at real. And as i stated, the saf era is the most exciting ive witnessed.I stated ERA not a season

Think that's the problem. People seem to forget it took Fergie years and years to build us into a successful team continually challenging at the top. Even though I think he should of achieved better in Europe. Under Fergie early rain it wasn't a lot different to how it been for the managers that have taken over since he's left. A couple of matches and results had gone a different way it could of been a different story. Let's be honest even those 2 CL under Fergie we'll especilly the second one was a stroke of luck. And the Munich one was won due to Fergie having time to build a squad and instil belief and confidence that they could do what they did. It's gonna take time for Mourinho to get us there.

My main issue with Mourinho right now is this style we're playing against big teams away from home, yes he has always done it, but it isn't the United way to be so turgid and toothless in the first half against Spurs.

If we set up like we did today against Ajax in the final, I can see them beating us honestly, we need to go out there and attack them. Not hope we can keep them out of our goal and nick one ourselves somehow.

The way we played against Chelsea was the same as we did against most top teams, just in that game we were clinical and took our chances.. which we've lacked in almost all games this season

Well at home, we totally controlled and dictated the game. With a great victory 2-0.

But then away from home, the mentality was totally different and they bossed us. With the 4-0 victory to them.

I don't get why there is such a difference in our mentality, we should be able to still play some good football against a top 6 team away from home, like we have demonstrated at Old Trafford.

It will be completely different in the final. Different team, mentality, maybe a different formation. If The Lyon game is anything to go off they don't handle the big occasion this young Ajax team. And I think we are all gonna have to get use to the so called Utd way being different with Mourinho in charge. I excepted this when he took over. I also knew he was a pragmatist who knew what it takes to win trophies.

James applauds the Bernabéu. It's his last game here!

Just watching the Madrid game. It was defo a fairwell to the Bernabau wave. Got a great ovation. Mended Confirms it will be a big Summer for James. Most Spanish Media tweeting the same and Ballbags said after as well.

I'm sure you're right, but for me we need to be more balanced, a winning mentality can succeed away from home as well. I think we'll be better next season anyway, plus todays game against Spurs was meaningless in context.

I don't really care about these 3 games in PL and I am happy in what Mourinho has done in most aspects. Just some others that I would question, like do we need such a mentality shift when playing away from home against top 6, especially Arsenal and Spurs. Apart from that there is improvements to be seen, especially against teams outside the top 6, chances created are in a different realm to under LVG, but we don't have a finisher right now.

Yeah now Zlatan won't be here for the start of next season or maybe longer. A top GS is defo a priority in the Summer. Think the game plan against the teams we will be fighting for the league will be pretty much the same, but with better players to carry out the plan. Can defo see why Mourinho wants more quality in attack/ goal scorers. Especially on these types of games where we won't get lots of chances. Also expect more improvement from Rashford and Martial next season. And more consistency from a Mky now he's settled a season. Mata is always consistent. And even think Lingard will improve again. After the attacking sit is sorted. CM is the next key area!

Erm, where is Fellaini? ;)

I've cracked it, the goalscorer we need next season, it's John Guidetti.

I still can't get over how badly he cocked up that miss, it's comedy gold.

Ready to come off the bench to score a winner ;) and on James if it's true he wants to come here I don't think he would not mind not playing in all the games. Don't get this slight on his attitude people keep bringing up. Ok he's no Kante or Matic. But he has put in the work rate when I've seen him play over his career.

He didn't really **** it up though. It was a truly ****** pass, it goes behind him, against the direction of his run, and I think it also bounced off the ground. I know everybody hates Guidetti but the it's the Celta players obviously shat himself when facing big chance and went for a poor pass instead.
