Rooney gone off, thank the lord, just pray it's not to rest him for the final.

Good to see Mkhitaryan back to sorts in recent games. Not being dispossessed as much, sharp passing

Agree, looks very good in this attacking mid role rather than on the wing! Isn't it in this position he's scored most of his goals as well?

**** me would give anything to have a James on the pitch right now. Our attacking play is tosh!

It'll take a lot more than James mate. It's the system more than anything I think, Mkhi & Martial too worried about getting back with the full back's, no link from CM to attack (Pogba is the only one that does it for us, Pereira will give us an extra option), that on top of what Southampton are, a negative and well organised side, was always gonna be like this.

90 mins of my life I won't get back. Worrying thing is that at least 6 of those who featured will start in the EL final. Very very lacklustre. I appreciate there's nothing to play for league wise, but ffs there are places up for grabs. Good game Romero & two centre halves, I reckon Jones comes up trumps in the "audition", wouldn't be surprised if both start tbh.

Yeah I agree. But we've been in enough good positions tonight when our attacks have been promising but we have either lacked, quality, composure or anyone to play that final through ball. They've either over hit it or kick it straight at the defender. It's getting annoying as **** watching our players make good runs and see the passer fluff it.

Yeah it's definitely annoying, but it's a head scratcher, as we definitely have the armoury. Mkhitaryan top assister & player in Bundesliga, Martial our best player by a long way last season - looked a world beater... you can't say this extra defensive responsibility doesn't somewhat limit their impact in the final 3rd?

Just been absolutely bored stiff watching this for the last couple of months, at least when were dropping points before Xmas it was exciting, and you could see plenty of promise once we found our shooting boots

The thing that really irked me was how negative we were against Celta Vigo at Old Trafford, let them dictate the game and just sat back, almost inviting them a spot in the final of EL. If it wasn't for John Guidetti missing they would be there and not us, we would all be reminiscing over a disaster of a first season.

But anyway, lets try and keep somewhat positive, this was by all accounts 2/3 of the friendlies we are playing before the final, so no one really cares about it.

Yeah since the top 4 has looked a long shot our performances have defo dropped and our creation has dried up. Suppose frustrated at the bore fest more than anything. I knew before kick off in the last few matches not to get excited in the league. Half the players are just going through the motions.

Hopefully start of next season and when we have something to play for and everyone fit. It will be back to the norm with lots of chances being created. But hopefully better finishing ;)

Least Romero's in goods form. You'd be WELL ****** of if you'd travelled all that way down to Southampton for that. On top of going 'Spurs Sunday and Arsenal prior. But hey, he's put EVERYTHING on next Wednesday so any ultimate judgement will be made then.

Fewest wins now in a PL season for Utd. Sign of where you now are as a football club.

Tbf don't think anyone will really care about that if we win the final and make the CL next season.

No one is going to say, 'this was a bad season cos we had least amount of wins in Premier League', if we make champions league.

Admittedly it can go either way, but I do think we've pretty much just gave up on the league for a fair few games now.

If we win the EL and get Champions League footy it will be a decent first season on the project, however, not only do results have to be better next season, we have to do it in a different, devastating manner. Far too cautious atm, will give him the benefit of the doubt in maybe he just completely trust what he has, but I can't help but feel we were almost half deceived by the attacking footy we played in the earlier months, because we didn't get the goal on numerous occasions, so we never saw the negative shitfest that followed it. Scoring & shutting up shop/ATTEMPTING to shut up shop just isn't the United way, or any way for a top club with the title aspirations for that matter.

A few will disagree I know, but it's the harsh truth
