The Manchester United Thread

what i truly miss is the club we was not the trophies the fact we was a loving family club its honestly just turned to **** since fergies departure like even transfer wise the type of players fergie used to go for are players who truly believe in man utd and loved it regardless of price like look how players like evra talk about man utd like when rooney put his 1st transfer request evra said in press rooney shouldnt disrespect man utd
Tbh Fergie wasn't that great in the market since I can't remember. Most probs since 2004. And the football was turning pretty much the same in his last few years. I don't begrudge him leaving one bit and I know he had things to deal with off the pitch. What messed us up was the stupid appointment after that and he was partly to blame for that also.

When you had the capability Fergie did to turn average players into great ones, you didn't really need to sign great ones in the first place!

Not been good in the transfer market since 2004? You're doing him a massive injustice mate.

Van Der Saar & De Gea, Evra, Vidic, Valencia, Park, Tevez, Hernandez, RVP, etc., I don't even think his last ever signing in Wilfried Zaha was a bad one, didn't get his chance.... will forever be a "who knows" for me. Could've been a world beater with the right support and coaching, learning off the likes of Giggs & co.

S.A.F is the greatest of all time for me. Made a few errors in the market, but name me any man in any job for almost 30 years that hasn't along the way. Let's not exaggerate and say he was bad in the transfer market.

Not to mention, the players who Moyes and LVG couldn't get the best of, Fergie undoubtedly would. He won the PL with the squad Moyes inherited and added to!

Fergie is a genius and once in a lifetime.

Yeah we've had some good ones no doubt! But we've had some **** also. Don't buy into the Fergie could make average players excellent ones.

Trust me I love Fergie and all he has done and is truest the greatest in my eyes. But that last title was more to do with RVP and the rest of the big boys being dog ****. I watched that season review the other day and our football was you score we will score more. If not for Fergie signing RVP I doubt we would of won the league that season. But yes Moyes was useless!

You can't argue TOD that Fergie made a lot of average perform much better than other managers can, it's just a well known fact. Yes he did make dud signings along the way but that's a different topic and given his length of reign, it's not saying much.

Don't you remember this 8-2 vs Arsenal? ;)

This team consisted of ****** Smalling, Evans, Jones, Cleverley, Anderson, Young, Welbeck.

What a day! Watched that match the other week :) I wouldn't really call Smalling, Jones, Anderson, Welbeck average ;) Maybe I just took what you said a little to literal, when you said Fergie could make any average player a great one.

Valencia has definitely won POTY, those who know the result have terrible poker faces

Few little comments about Griezmann ala Pogba at last years awards. But also confirmed will be 5-6 youth players in the squad. Noticed TFM there looking well, maybe a chance for Sunday. Mourinho and Woody deep in some serious conversations.

If it wasn't for the Wembley factor, they'd be my favourites for the league next year dependent on what City do the market the summer.

Wembley will **** them up next season, playing at a different ground for your homes games is going to be a super challenge for them. I think it shows in how hard they felt the CL games playing there.

I actually felt sorry for West Ham fans experiencing the London Stadium Sunday. (Well, almost until the **** started back and forth the upper tier but that's another story.).

Single worst PL stadium I've ever watched a match in through the history the PL. Complete joke of a place, But it's a frigging athletics stadium. Funny that. That will NEVER be a home advantage.
