Very solid half :D One hand on the trophy lads, let's do it!! Please don't go too negative and invite them back into the game though Jose!
 
Good half. They really haven't had a sniff. There nerves showing. Mky the only dissapiontment for me. Losing the ball to easy and getting skinned by Veltman every time.
 
going to plan but we need to go up a gear,a second early in the second will clinch it but we dont have a good record this season in killing games
 
What a messy, scrappy, boring as all heck half of footie.

Even the goal was a mess. Ajax bungling their own throw. Then the big deflection.

Not that you lads will mind one iota right now, but from a neutral watch that was horrible. Here's to someone settling down second half and playing some football.

Don't forget getting booked into the bargain. It maybe an ugly game but ultimately it won't matter to the winners.

Precisely my thoughts.

Also agree with TOD, I'd take Mkhitaryan off and put Lingard on in this situation.

We really need that second goal though, it has been our achilles heel this season.

You know if they get an equalizer, they'll get huge confidence, so we need the next goal!
 
I'd leave Mkhi out there. Been quiet, yeah, but as capable if not more than anyone on that pitch to produce a moment of sheer magic, especially given the fact that Ajax will have to come out to play more therefore more space for us
 
Another early goal for United in the second half and I personally can't see any way back for the young Ajax side. Don't forget Jose is the master at spoiler tactics. This is not a free flowing scoring United team it is beginning to look like a well oiled machine which will take a win by the most effective way possible ie by frustrating the opposition into making mistakes.

a well oiled machine that with a few world class additions will become a successful jose side imo

Very true, and hopefully next season qualification for the Champions League will be a forgone conclusion via the league.

Did they hear me? Well there's the early goal can't see this Ajax side recovering from that not now. At 1-0 they had a chance now it is too much to ask of these youngsters.
