I wouldnt be paying £50m for Dier and taking more game time away from TFM. We even have Blind who can do a job there when needed. Depending on formation next season, Pogba and Herrera are starting the majority of games so no point spending £50m on a player that would potentially be sat on the bench most weeks if we go 4-2-3-1.

Would only sign a FB IF Darmian and Young leaves. Defo a LB if he does. We are not exactly short atm. Valencia, Shaw, Darmian, Blind, Rojo, Tuanzebe, TFM, Mitchell, Young, CBJ, Riley, Varela, Bailly, Lindelöf can all play FB even Smalling and Jones at RB. Like I said if a few leave defo, especially LB. Just can't see us spending 40-50m without it being absolute necessity.We're in back the Champions League now mate, any position that warrants improving or needs more stability, is a priority. You've named a host of CB's and youth players mate. In the words of Jose, we need "specialists" in respective positions. FB's definitely an area to look at, if just for natural quality in depth alone.

Exactly even going back to Fergie, players like ****, Fletcher, Park, O'Shea, Brown, P Neville etc all played part in us winning Prem, CL and cups. Mourinho is very good at building a team and identifying weaknesses in the team/ squad.Tbf to Dier he has been a fundamental part to a team that has finished above us for the last two seasons and at times looked the best team in the league generally.

While I agree in a way on the price. But not many players are going for what there actually worth.And I'd have little arguments if he was being signed for the money he's worth, and as a squad player. My issue is going all out and paying what you would pay for a shiny new toy, for a limited, overrated player, when better options at a similar or cheaper cost are out there.

I think we will have to switch to a 433 for a lot of games next season especially in CL. Can see why Mou wants him.Just one thing, I don't think he'd be a rotational player if he came in for 50m. My bet would be that he would be the go to option as the DM in a 4-3-3.
