The Manchester United Thread

A nice long read, whether he arrives or not, its a really good piece on Morata.

Yeah enjoyed that read, and it's nice to get the context of an article on the thread occasionally as the media sites can be a slow pain in the ****, with noisy ads everywhere. But obviously it's not ideal to be posting them on a regular basis.

Whoever gets him (looking like us, fingers crossed) and make him the main man, they've got a goalscorer in their hands.

Easier for us on the outside but we should just pay the **** money. forget all the hype around the club needing a mega name, this guy is a killer when he is allowed to play, and is still one when denied regular time. He's not RVN, or Van Persie, but he's lethal and has yet more potential.

And I sorta like the fact he hasn't played a lot of games, I mean, look at Rooney & co., an argument could be made that he practically burnt out (of course conditioning comes into it too), he has so much mileage in the clock from such a tender age.

Whereas Morata has got all the experience that Rooney had in those raw years; CL latter stages, El Classico's, Madrid Derbies, games and goals vs. both Milan's. He has fully matured and filled out at 24, and despite the fact he's already showed real ruthless ability in front of goal, the most exciting part is he's still relatively unexposed - he can get better and better, with practically an entire career ahead of him. Possibly a decade or more at the top level.

Yep really excited about the prospect of Morata. Ever since we were linked with him and Belotti, he was my preferred choice. So clinical and cool infront of goal. Quick and good technique. Reminds me of Torres in his pomp. Hopefully it's done deal soon enough. And we can get him linking up with the other players on tour, ready with some sort of chemistry before the season starts. Think Perisic will be done early next week.

Di Marzio and Banega agent has confirmed hes very close to a 9m move to Sevilla. Still leaving Inter 22m short of there FFP that has to be paid by the start of July. Woody playing this well imo for Perisic.

so if we get them 2 who else would you like to see and dont say ronaldo thats never happing

Be a very good window with Lindelöf, Perisic, Morata, Matic. And keeping DDG. Add a FB Semedo it would be fantastic. Pereira will be like a new signing also.

you think we have a chance to get matic cant see them selling to us
Think there's a chance. Especially if they sign Bakayoko. And the price is right. Tbh though I don't really have a clue who we will sign. But Morata and Perisic we defo seem to be in for.

LOL. No mate. Morata is good but he's no prime torres.

Good to hear fresh positive word on Fabinho from a few outlets today, hopefully it's very much still on

Edit: A whisper going around that €35m + €5m add on's is what's going to be exchanged between the two clubs. Again, nothing concrete, but if we sign him and it's for anything in and around that price, it would be great business.

Yeah, I want Fabinho. I'd be very disappointed if we signed Matic or Dier instead.

I wouldn't mind Matic too much as a pure sitting DM, but definitely 100% prefer Fabinho, as it's nice to have mobility in midfield.. the likes of Herrera, Kanté etc. have proved that, and Fabinho offers more than all of them on the ball.

Will be a bit ****** off if we are basically buying Bakayoko for Chelsea. Apparently they are getting him for 35m and selling us Matic for 40m

I like Matic, but would certainly rather have Fabinho. Tbh, so many rumours going around its not worth worrying about atm

I'll take any pinch of hope if it rumours a possible outcome of signing Fabinho instead of Dier. Don't burst my bubble Anthony (H)
