The Manchester United Thread

Yep really excited about the prospect of Morata. Ever since we were linked with him and Belotti, he was my preferred choice. So clinical and cool infront of goal. Quick and good technique. Reminds me of Torres in his pomp. Hopefully it's done deal soon enough. And we can get him linking up with the other players on tour, ready with some sort of chemistry before the season starts. Think Perisic will be done early next week.

LOL. No mate. Morata is good but he's no prime torres.

Good to hear fresh positive word on Fabinho from a few outlets today, hopefully it's very much still on

Edit: A whisper going around that €35m + €5m add on's is what's going to be exchanged between the two clubs. Again, nothing concrete, but if we sign him and it's for anything in and around that price, it would be great business.

Yeah, I want Fabinho. I'd be very disappointed if we signed Matic or Dier instead.

I wouldn't mind Matic too much as a pure sitting DM, but definitely 100% prefer Fabinho, as it's nice to have mobility in midfield.. the likes of Herrera, Kanté etc. have proved that, and Fabinho offers more than all of them on the ball.

Will be a bit ****** off if we are basically buying Bakayoko for Chelsea. Apparently they are getting him for 35m and selling us Matic for 40m

I like Matic, but would certainly rather have Fabinho. Tbh, so many rumours going around its not worth worrying about atm

I'll take any pinch of hope if it rumours a possible outcome of signing Fabinho instead of Dier. Don't burst my bubble Anthony (H)

Sorry :D
I hope we sign him too, but the nonsense out there in the news world would drive you mental.

It's why I've stopped bothering. It's telling when you cant find one source, backed up by another credible independent source. Means very little is actually known

Mourinho to leave the club due to lack of support in the transfer market and goes to Chelsea after Conte leaves due to lack of support in the transfer market, and United manager becomes Benitez after leaving Newcastle due to lack of support in the transfer market.

You heard it hear first, folks.

Don't get me wrong, but this is Manchester United you're talking about. If anything, they would go for much more proven name like Brandan Rogers.

Joking aside, if you could combine Mourinho's pragmatic negativity with Rodgers innovative attacking flair, you'd have the perfectly balanced manager. And a solid, very attractive side to watch.

Watching fantasy football and winning are two different things though. That's why I'm willing to have a happy median.

By 'fantasy' presumably you mean a Rodgers coached side?

Harsh. He's just come off an unbeaten treble winning season (yeah, the SPL. But still the first time that's ever been achieved), and came within a game of the English title the last what, 4 years?

I have personal grievances with the fella' but I know which I'd pay to watch. And you yourself were openly within a game of going the complete other way just a couple of months back z.

Fine margins.

That the lad who scored the last game when the U-9's played?

Too lazy to look back. Shrugs.

Yup. Also tucked away a spot-kick against Liverpool in the Reserve league, that may refresh your memory even more - given you watch a fair bit of Liverpool at all levels.

Nothing official though I don't think
