The Manchester United Thread

So Mourinho said will be back 4 against Madrid. Pleased tbh need to start getting a settled formation and patterns between players.

Yer International fans as small time as yer (in the main) non-Manchester based domestic ones then?

Like following like sheep as to what they think they should do. Well embarrassing the **** out of everyone in so doing.

Playing for City is all the reason you need. Not a connection to a club you aren't playing.

i absolutely detest the hatred towards rival fans, utd and pool should have a bond due to two of british footbaalls biggest tragedys.grown men hurling abuse at each other and waiting in groups kick each others heads in,please....its like a playground.nothing will change but some folk really need to get a grip and realise its football ie escapism not a reason to cause harm and suffering.anyway....

I really liked the team and lineup last night, Pogba - Herrera with Mkhi in front of them, absolutely love that triangle!

Reminded me of a brilliant piece I linked and wrote on after the Manchester attacks #69163 a couple of months back that's worth revisiting.

As regards the constant abuse of opposition players that have a L'pool connection I've never gotten that. And I know it grates with a lot of Mancunian Utd lads to have ANYTHING sung about us when you're not playing us. Embarrassing isn't the word but these knobs come from all over the Country following Utd and think it's the thing to do as we're your fiercest and most hated rivals.

Thankfully, as utterly vile and ugly as the L'pool- Utd game sadly often gets, we've not gone down that road for a long time of singing about Utd/ abusing players that may have played for you when we aren't frigging playing you.(Probably since Hillsborough and the Munich songs thankfully stopped in the main.). And anyone who does normally quickly sits down sharpish when they're 'politely' told to 'STFU! We aren't playing Utd. Get behind L'pool or F off home!' (Or words to that effect.). Often wondered what Rooney must of thought the past decade hearing **** sung about Scousers most weeks and him being one in your colours?

Leeds are another one you still constantly sing ***** about most every game and they're absolutely ZERO threat to you in any description these days. Why? And they're equally as bad. The League Cup game at Anfield last year it was every other song that was anti-Utd. Which lead to blows being exchanged the Kop when bellends joined in with the Leeds lads 'Stand up if yers hate Man U.'

Seriously lower league embarrassing *****. People have no clue about going the match and standards these days.

I think the biggest bell ends are those who get so annoyed at someone standing up when they don't want them to that they decide to come to blows with them.

We need this game back - In 1978, for Colin Bell's testimonial, players from City and United lined up side by side against a combined Liverpool and Everton team in a Manchester v Merseyside fixture.

The "**** the SUN" charity match or something. Name your lineups people :)

*Edit* Removed as what I wanted to say came over wrong and I'm still struggling to express it properly.

Well that was a mad game. I don't think I'd of liked to of been a part of the crowd that day in 1978. That'd be an open 4 way free-for-all! Lol.

I'm in the only one that hasn't been impressed with Lindelof? I think he's a waste of £30 million. He has that problem John stones had: All he knows how to do is pass but he can't defend for ****.

Can't tell after 3 pre-season games, a bit premature to call him waste? :(

I don't think so 4 of the starting 5 all played together last season. Lindelöf could a little but we got him in before the tour so should be to bad.

As noted, I know absolutely jack on Lindelof like the majority so can't comment, but regardless of him, if van Dijk hadn't fallen for Klopp so early and Southampton had gotten their auction, I wonder how heavily Utd would have been involved?

I know the line now would be they never would have. But I find it real hard to think they wouldn't had Arsenal, Chelsea, City and Liverpool all been bidding against each other.

But he already looks terrible... *facepalm* :D lol.

United would have don with VVD same as everyone else, got the quoted price. thought **** that and moved onto Lindeflof anyway.

Like any of those clubs outside of Arsenal and L'pool ever walk away from a price if they know they can get the player.

But it's a nice story. ;)

Tbh we wanted lindelöf in Jan. They wouldn't sell so we worked on a deal for the summer instead. We have never shown any interest in VVD.

I dunno'. Woodward walk away from all the big clubs bidding for a major signing? I find that one hard to buy but we'll never know.
