The Manchester United Thread

Wrong. I was bashing him before last week.

You seen this fella' play previously for Benfica or Sweden mate?

Just curious. It'd help your point if you're not just basing this off a few halves of footie in summer kick-arounds. (Even if that penalty challenge was especially late.).

Ive watched him about 20+ times for Benfica and he's never usually rash like that and has good timing on his tackles. Can be a little suspect in the air but nothing that made me think he's gonna have a clanger every time a cross came in.

Eric Bailly been given a 3 match ban for his red card against Celta.

Paul Hirst @hirstclass

Eric Bailly given extra two-match ban for his red card v Celta Vigo in EL SF 2nd leg. Will miss Super Cup&1st CL gsme

Took a while for that to be decided, at least the European super cup covers a game of it

Always been another seriously messed up thing with UEFA that.

They don't officially credit goals and appearances in players records for either qualifying games or the SC. Yet any bookings or sending offs in those games do count and get carried over. (Or carried over and included if it's from another season.).

Why should disciplinary matters count yet nothing else does?

Fully agree, it's inconsistencies like this that can make football very frustrating at times.

Not seen him as much as that, but matches up with what I've seen.

"We played Sevilla, they played Ajax. That's the difference." - Klopp on United's Europa League final triumph.... Behave. The final was there for you to win like it was for us, yous bottled it - simple as, move on.

Turned into such a bitter pratt lately. I swear I'm not exaggerating when I say he's been lowkey even more bitter than Jose the past season.

This is such a bizarre comment, especially coming from someone who has lost their last 5 finals too.

Anyone want to show the full context of that part of the presser and him being asked about Mourinho narking at L'pool again over the weekend?

Or just stick with the abbreviated version?

That'll be a no then?

Ignore the question and what was asked, cut a snippet of an answer, mock a rival manager.

Gotcha' Mike. I guess you're in the right thread for that to roll. Enjoy.

Firstly you've not put it up yourself. Secondly it's still a weird answer to give. Much like the time he blamed the wind. No context has actually been lost there. But sure, blame it on Mourinho. See ya

Was trying to find this apparent dig from Jose, only to realise it came from a presser I watched live. There was nothing in that at all tbh, and he defintiely didn't single out Liverpool, he just said what we've all been saying on this forum - Everyone playing European football evens the playing field.

Yes, the journo's tried to stir the pot or whatever for Klopp, but he was caught hook line and sinker and gave a bitter reply tbh

Wonder will Conte and Koeman feel the need to come out and have a bash at the fairly reasonable (especially by Jose's standards) comment.

There wasnt a specific dig. That's what makes it all the more baffling
