Can't wait to get someone like Poch, Sarri or Tuchel. Our league season is over, just watching over a beer for the banter :)

Not gonna' add any observations as your footie Chrimbo has been ***** enough and certain folk get too touchy from a L'pool angle to have any decent discussion.

But you're certainly not a lock for the top 4 in any way, shape or form. Which would be an absolute disaster.

No doubt we need a big second half of the season. Having said that, don't rule us out as dark horses in Europe.

It's this weird pattern with Mourinho teams lately where all it takes is one bad game and it all drives off a cliff. Chelsea had their Spurs collapse where the team became strangely absent and there's similar **** here, ever since that City clusterfuck they've been playing like they don't give a ****.

I'm old fashioned enough to think if your enjoying your football then you play better.

How can anyone be enjoying playing this football under Mourinho.. especially against big teams when even if your an attacked your used as a defender predominantly.

You just look at teams like City and Spurs, they look like they are all hungry and want to be on the pitch. It is their time to express themselves, Sterling and Kane are prime examples.

Sevilla are no great shakes but if this utterly toothless 'attacking' continues, it'll level that tie right back out.

That first leg. Be wary that stadium. If they get a sniff early of anything that's one **** of a home crowd advantage and then it really comes on top.

Not confident, but as we are at their place first, I make us slight favourites.

The way we are playing at the moment, anyone can give us a game. But I fancy us to sneak through, come up against a big team and then Mourinho will surrender us.

And there we go with another embarrassing interview. Is he really going to blame the referee when Young should be given straight red and will almost definitely get a ban?

The man has lost the plot.

What have Spurs won and what’s there big game record like?

Finished higher than us in the league last season though.

Yes they have their flaws, but Mourinho's big game record is woeful as well, especially away from home. At least they play to win and have an identity.

The grass isn't always greener, but Pochettino has improved Spurs a lot since being there. Anyone would be a fool to think not.

Plus, it is Spurs, they don't really have the right to be competing against the teams they are. Their resources are far less than City, United and Chelsea.

Said it 4 games ago. Get that boring **** out of this club

Don't like the "what has Poch won?" narrative myself. He has worked wonders in his time in England, the only reason a couple have raised an eyebrow to him this season is because of his own set high standards. Developed English players to world class/top domestic levels in Kane, Rose, Walker, Lallana, Alli, Dier (if you like, not a fan myself) etc. Always seems to sign good CB's with Van Dijk, Alderweireld, Sanchez etc.

Yes he has a poor away record against big sides (let's ignore the fact he raped Liverpool and Real Madrid this season at home though?!), yes a couple of his signings have been questionable (Sissoko, Janssen), but name me a manager who is perfect? At least he plays good football and puts up ridiculously impressive fights domestically with a fraction of City and recourses.

I for one would love to see him at a club with the recourses to support whatever profiles/players he wants. If not here, then somewhere. Imagine if he had Martial instead of Son, Pogba instead of Dembele, etc.

Kane is gone to Madrid or somewhere soon, so it's not like he'll be downgrading strikers.

Finished higher than us and won nothing despite this great identity they have. And you honestly think Mourinho doesn’t send his team out to win. Should of been 3/4-0 up or at least 34/-1 up at HT. We’ve improved under Mourinho too. But he still should be doing better though.

Yes his budget ain’t as big as other clubs I give him that he’s done well in that respect. But Spurs have a class team and good depth and last season was the same. And despite this he still hasn’t pushed on or looks like will be challenging again this season in the league or most likely the cups. Just don’t get the serious love in but maybe that’s just me thinking he should be doing slightly better. As should Mourinho.

There's quite a few good progressing managers out there who have an identity but are also great at improving players.

The only real reason I prefer Pochettino over someone like Sarri is because of the Premier League experience Pochettino has.

Not that it necessarily means a lot but even Pep needed a season to adapt to English football. It would cut that out.

Could have easy rested him today, any of those will do.. Just seems odd to complain you need to rest him, and then throw into a what should be a comfortable home win. I'd have put his fitness first, not point him getting confidence today to get benched coz hes need the rest again.. I'd have gone the other way.

Knowing how he works, it's two-fold isn't it .....

Deflect criticism from yourself by making out you've a lack of options.

Send a message to those higher up in the club that you're having to flog someone to death as Ibrahimovic is out for a month and you've nobody else of a similar calibre to rest him. So go out and get me someone big.

All utter nonsense when there's Rashford and Martial like. But we know that's the way he try's to psychological frame things to his own end.

Not that I totally disagree with you. But have you seen Rashford most of this season :( Martial could of defo been tried uptop though.

He's not been helped at all though when you continue to insist on playing him wide when he's not a natural winger. Just because he's pacey. No wonder his confidence is at a real low ebb.

Just a personal opinion but looking at his skill set coming through, if he'd of continued being developed as a centre-forward at this level he'd be a heck of a lot further on and a real dangerous one right now.
