The Manchester United Thread

You really think so?
I could understand Pep wouldn't go to Real Madrid, but I don't think he has that bond with City as with Barca ofcourse.
If he keeps proving he's the best manager around, I don't think anyone would mind him at United.
Dont think the board would touch him. And **** loads of Utd mates and fans on other forums wouldn’t now either same goes for Klopp. Scouse was right football tribalism is a strange thing. There’s other good managers out there.

U18s goals from yesterday’s match with Blackburn

Another defeat for the u23s today. Really needed to win all our games to stay up. Such a shame after a great result against Pool :(

Manchester United
@ManUtd

U23s: FT - Swansea 2 #MUFC 0. Ricky Sbragia's side had plenty of the ball in an improved second-half display in South Wales, with Chong and Gribbin going close, but were unable to make the breakthrough.

This was the line up-

U23s: #MUFC v Swansea – O’Hara, Riley, Williams R-S., Borthwick-Jackson, Laird, Redmond, Hamilton, Chong, Gribbin, Kehinde, Dearnley. Subs: Kovar, Warren, Buffonge, Whelan, Bohui. The game kicks off at 13:00 GMT.

Good to see Laird make his u23 debut. Buffonge and Whelan on the bench while Hamilton and Redmond continue to stink up the place :(

Ethan Laird one of United u23s best players against Swansea while marking a player 7 years older than him. Only turned 16 in August & has handled step up to u18s, u19s & now u23s very well while often being the youngest player on the pitch. Big prospect.

sorry but would take either dont give 2 ***** where thay have been

Why would u like Sarri or Allegra more than Poch?
Just think there better managers than Poch atm and more proven. Agreed with RH on Tuchel as well. Also would have liked Klopp. Also a fan of Simeone. Poch just ain’t there for me yet.

He's not the only manager to have criticised him in public either, his former managers have done as well (Pocchettino, Hodgson and LVG)

No chance now he’s been at City same goes for Klopp. Despite them being good managers.

The way I look at it, they are both just killing time trying to upskill themselves until the big job at OT becomes available.

Either will do for me, although probably Pep over Klopp at a push - let's face it, everyone needs time at the smaller clubs before stepping up to the big time!

(6)(6)(6)(6)(6)(H)

I am concerned for next season though, it always seems to be Mou's third year when it turns to custard. Can't see him ever getting the best out of Pogba or Sanchez.

I think he will crack it. Everyone thought he was guaranteed to win the league in his 2nd season that didn’t happen. Maybe the 3rd season meltdown won’t ;)

And so the public slaying of Luke Shaw begins. KdB was apparently high maintenance as well. Lukaku had no drive or desire. Salah did not listen. Its never Jose’s fault of course.

Still dont get the dislike Poch gets and how he is more unproven. Allegri has done more true(been longer in the game and Juventus) and IF Sarri wins the league then big achievement, but there is nothing else these managers should be considered more proven and better. It will be cluster fuuu with English media and Sarri...

I really don't see why you keep bringing this up... it's ****** boring as **** and you want to have a dig at every opportunity you can which is obvious.

Listen carefully, at the time KDB/Lukaku/Salah were not good enough to regularly get in that Chelsea team, they were not happy with the lack of game time and so they were sold. Does that mean Mourinho takes no blame? Not at all.

But if at the time your team was too strong for them to get into regularly and they want more game time.... what is the alternative other than moving them on to another club? They were clearly in the case of KDB kicking up a fuss behind closed doors because of it.

Plus at the time Salah was at Chelsea I watched him and he was absolutely pants compared to what he is now. I don't know what they done in Italy with him but it clearly had a massive effect.
