We've all been their! A player who is absolutely useless
and you just can't get rid of....

Thought i'd share with you Filip Djordjevic with Lazio. He was/is terrible. First season I kept giving him chances due to a restricted strike force finishing the season with 3 goals from 29 appearances. He still managed to accumulate 9 caps for Serbia somehow scoring 0!! I tried offloading him in the second season and offered him for a measly £350K and still no offers. Half way through the second season 11 appearances and 0 goals! AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL

What's the worst players you've had in your team, and you can't sell to save your life?
 
Carlton Cole, much like in real life I just find he doesn't offer anything, I ended up at a new team and who do they have on the bench...that man again. I managed to somehow get 4 goals out of him last season, but no matter what, I can never ever sell him.
 
Christoph Kramer was appauling for me, signed him to play in the role CM (S) but couldn't ever find any form. The only really bad player I have ever signed, really bad anyway...
 
Ferreyra and Cisse at Newcastle definitely and a bit of a surprise one but Gabriel Barbosa.. I just can't get the kid to score, he is absolutely awful for me every time, given up with the kid now.
 
for some reason, it was always Di Rossi for me (dont ask). i have no idea, couldnt get a avg of 7 or above out of him for love nor money.. in 13 & 14!
 
jack wilshere for m on my nottm forest save, on massive wages (my own stupid fault) poor performaces consistently, give him his dues he is consistently ****! and cannot fob him off and to top it off always moaning about lack of football
 
robert lewandowski ur gonna find this mad but he was absolutely amazing when i signed him 15 games 32 goals to ****** the title away from chelseas grasp then suffered a leg break and became absolutely useless when he came back chance after chance i kept giving him to have a run out in the 1st team squad kept letting me down and because he was 275k p/w player i couldnt get rid of him for 3 years till aston villa eventually came calling for a crappy 6m
 
Jack Wilshere - He is either injured or banned due to red cards or consistently performing at a 6.6
 
Every time I go and manage a top side I always bring in the usual balanata sisto and so on but one young player that develops really well..... But never develops for me is...... Yassine benzia he ever seems to score goals he rarely gets an assist, he just seems to go missing, he's also plagued with injuries every season
 
Jermaine Defoe, if i'm playing against him he is like god, always scores and makes my defenders into bambi on ice.. but when I managed as Sunderland he didn't score for like 15 games,

Ended the season with 4 goals then got injured last game of the season for 8 months

Lewandowski was my marquee signing for Southampton in 14, just never got going! Would pop up with the odd goal here or there but it was my midfield who won the Champions League for me with their goals. I do seem to recall hearing about a striker bug on that version, and it's quite possible because Timo Werner and Gabriel Barbosa weren't much better, despite their attributes.
 
Lucas Romero for me..never ever assists or scores even in the main playmaker role of my setup, however Henderson does just fine there
 
Lindegaard the goalie. You just can't give him away and he is no use when he plays as he is always letting in stupid goals. I don't think I've won with him in the team ever would much rather play one of the youth reserves than him. I couldn't even give him away on a free on one save that's how bad he is.

Lucas Romero??!!?!

Play him as a BWM (either in DM or CM position) or B2BM and he will prove his worth and at least 15-20 successful tackles per game is guaranteed. Not to mention his interceptions. Don't rate him on assists or on goals only.

Exactly the same thing happened to me in my Porto save. Didn't matter on which position I've started him; CF, AF, F9, RMD, AMR...was simply blind and deaf (not to mention the lack of development he showed) and but **** knows why his market value was up high heavens around 30 million...

Kenedy's been my rock solid AMR in that team, who was simply unstoppable tho.
 
Once managed to sign Courtois for £15m( Worjech wasn't doing great and was sold for £20m), did absolutely shocking. 38 league games, conceeded 70-odd goals. I know you can put it down to poor defending, but Mertesacker, Koscielny and Balanta were averaging in the low 7's, and Courtois was averaging about 6.8. I don't know how many own-goals or straight c**k-ups the lad had.

Scuffet saved my sorry *** the next season.

I'm kind of shocked to see some guys on here having trouble making Lewandowski play on a high level. In my Bayern-game, he ended up scoring 319 goals in 309 games for me. He won several Ballon d'Ors, and he was probably the best striker I've ever had in any FM-game (not counting the unreal regens that pop up sometimes).

I sold him to Dortmund when he was 32-33, and I didn't really expect him to do much there, as I thought it was my tactics that just fit him extremely well. But I was wrong, as he ended up having three or four seasons for Dortmund with 20+ league goals, even though he was quite old.
 
Anyone else had trouble with Rooney? in my Man u career I wanted to play him and Falcao up top but had to drop Rooney for depay/Kane because he scored 2 in 9 games and got sent off twice. Hasn't got a match rating about 6.8 all season so trying to sell him at the start of season 2. SHOCKER

He wasn't even contributing in that way either.. because I also played him as a BWM and he did not make any significant defensive contribution either

I was thinking on making a post about him, but you got it all.

In 16 im going to put him as a midfielder.
