Every time a generation ends, another begins. And, unfortunately for the USA, their "golden generation" is in its twilight. Stars like Donovan, Dempsey, Howard, and Bocanegra aren't getting any younger. As Mexico gets stronger, it seems like the USA gets weaker. But, are the Yanks really in danger of becoming the joke of CONCACAF? There are many up and coming stars coming mainly from MLS. Many attracting notice from big clubs, even as big as Manchester United. Now, who are these players?

Bill Hamid- 20 year old goalkeeper playing for DC United. Tim Howard considers him to be the next #1 for USA.
Tim Ream- 24 year old defender playing for Red Bull New York. Came out of almost nowhere, and found himself playing in the Gold Cup. A tad inconsistent, but has attracted interest from Arsenal.
Brek Shea- 21 year old left winger playing for FC Dallas and currently training with Arsenal. A present force in the attack, he can dribble, finish, and get his head to the ball. Did I mention he's 6'3"?
Juan Agudelo- 18 year old striker playing for Red Bull New York. Has gotten several caps and goals for the USMNT. Great finisher and also under the tutelage of Thierry Henry. Has attracted interest from Atletico Madrid.
Teal Bunbury- 21 year old striker playing for Sporting Kansas City. Went on trial with Stoke City for a short time, and even scored a goal in a reserves match.
And finally, the newest addition to the growing list of potential young American stars...
Marc Pelosi- Center midfielder. Before today, I never heard of this guy. He is the captain of the USMNT U-17 team. Today, Liverpool signed him. Youth prospects may not flourish for their club but, hey, a man can dream. Or in Pelosi's case, a boy can dream.
