Just lost my first choice left winger to a 'serious viral infection' and he's out for.........

8 to 10 months??? WHAT?

anyone else had this? :'(

Whilst I doubt the OP was referring to the actual plague, and was probably tongue in cheek. Still, the "plague" as we know it still has thousands of cases every year (Yersinia pestis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

I've never had anything like that in FM myself, but wasn't Darren Fletcher out for months with a virus IRL?

Don't know about him, but I know that several tennis players have been out cause of mononucleosis for months. For instance former no.4 Robin Söderling hasn't played in almost two years because of mono.

But yeah, hasn't occurred to me in FM, but definitely not unrealistic at all.

Darren Fletcher is out due to a bowel condition. It isn't a virus, but FM refers to it as one because the injury system doesn't go into that much detail. Basically all diseases more serious than a cold seem to be referred to as 'viruses'.

My bad. As I'm not a MU fan, I never really paid much attention :D
