Brilliant League form as Austria and Rapid Wien have horrible starts
Much better Champions League campaign
New team gelling nicely

So carrying on from my last update I got in three loan recruits from Chelsea in Christensen again after a cracking spell with us last year. Lucas Piazon to add some flair to our attacking line up and after Patric got injured for 5 months I brought in Brazilian right back Wallace. All in all we made a lovely profit this window of just over £7m!!

Immense league form!! Total domination this season. Undefeated so far as my new look side seem much more creative with goals coming from all over the park. My centre back partnership of Kalas and Christensen are solid as a rock and Wallace has been amazing at the back. The league is all but wrapped up basically barring an incredible collapse.

A much better European campaign this year!! Scrapped through qualifiers knocking out Malmo(sorry Pat). We drew Shalke again and they just managed to beat us in the opener. But two wins over Celtic, a draw and cracking win over Zenit matched with a stunning comeback win over Shalke thanks to two late Berisha goals meant we qualified for the knockout stages!!

Finished top too meaning we were seeded for the draw. Here's how it looks in the knockout stages:

Ahh ****. Probably the toughest draw we could have pulled!! City. Never mind we've done incredibly well to top our group which will surely mean a nice boost in our reputation.

Very straight forward so far. Rapid Wien in the Quarters and they've had a terrible season so I'm not too worried.

Storming it but look at the bottom of the league!! Austria Wien rock bottom and Rapid Wien second from bottom!! They've been awful all season and have a real chance of dropping down.

Stand Out Player So Far

Naby Keita

Just the one goal but 8 assists to boot and some amazing performances. Really stepped up and carried on his form from last season. Gotta try and keep hold of him.

Hahahaha you're forgiven! That Malmo don't have KBH and Santos!

Stunning league form continues as we nearly complete an unbeaten season
FA Cup run ends in final tie against a regional Austrian side
Heartbreak in the Champions League

Our cracking form continued barring a little purple patch. Sadly we did lose a league game after our keeper got injured early on and I didn't have one on the bench!! Kakuta, Savitskiy and even Cornelius chipping in with a fair few goals.

Final League Table

Stormed it by a whopping 38 points!! No real competition at all this season for us. Austria and Rapid both struggled to juggle the Europa League and challenge in the league clearly. We scored 2 fewer goals but conceded 6 less with keeper Stankovic notching up 22 clean sheets. Alvaro Medran was class in midfield for us and I'd love to sign him but I feel he's out of our financial reach, same goes for Rodrigo De Paul and Andreas Christensen.

Champions League

We ran City close. Should have really won that first tie as well but they got a penalty to square it up. In the return league we just seemed to let the occasion get to us a little bit. Still we done really well this year after flopping so massively last year.

United ended up winning it on penalties against Bayern in the final.

FA Cup

Easy run in the end. Only Rapid Wien putting up any kind of fight. Our finalists had a dream run considering they're just a regional side!! Kakuta took them apart though, his first goal was an absolute screamer!! Happy to have won the cup after falling short last year.

My Player of the Season

Pavel Savitskiy

The flying Belarusian was incredible this year. Top scorer and put in some amazing performances. Can't wait to see him develop some more.

My Young Player of the Season

Frans Oomen

The youth graduate from last season has been impressive this year with 29 starts and 3 sub apps he's become our first choise left back and hopefully will be for many years to come. Even notched his first club goal this season.

End of Season Post

So all in all a very impressive season. Smashed the league in style, won the FA Cup and made some real progress in the Europe. I wouldn't mind having a crack at the Europa League really as I feel we'd be in with a real shot of winning it maybe.

A lot of our players are attracting interest again though and Tomas Kalas asked to leave but I've convinced him to stay on for another year. Kakuta, Keita, Hadzic and Caleta-Car all have clubs sniffing around them and I really don't wanna have to sell anyone as the players we have are young and can get even better and help us challenge even more in Europe.
