Yes it had to happen - after finishing 3rd with Inter he has decided to retire.

He never quite his the heights of his namesake - but let's be honest, he would have had to have done an amazing job to have gotten close. while he is putting his feet up and enjoying retirement we know he will look back on some of his career highlights:


League 2 Champions with Brechin

League 1 Champions with Brechin

Promotion to the Championship with Brechin

Promotion to the Premiership with Raith

Sky Bet League 2 Champions with Luton

League 2 Manager of the year

Play off Promotion with Luton to the Championship

Runner up in the Johnstone Paint Trophy

2 x Serie A champions

Italian Cup winners

Italian Super Cup Winners

2 x Serie A Manager of the year

Serie A managers manager of the year winner


a nice list of achievements - he had so much potential but it just didn't work out for him!

He wasn't the greatest (or even close) but at least we had some fun with it.

It was nice to see some people enjoyed this story as much as I did to create it - maybe I'll do another one in the future.
