He can always set an asking price / if RM come and offer negotiate it :P

Shame that Torre's wants to leave(or so it seems) but with you bringing in neymar as a quality youth, and as a problem area for striker's

Take a look at Sporting CP's Yannick Djalo and Helder Positga, some really good strikers with a good amount of potential, no wonder kid's but Im always impressed with them if I can get both (Milan At Madrid or RM usually come and offer Postiga a bigger contract :')

Really enjoying the story!

Good win 9-0 wow impressive XD

It was on of the worst things that could have happened at the time, first Fernando and now Stevie.
I was with the King and Ron in my office, i'd recieved a call from Carlo Anceloti earlier enquring about Gerrard. This latest question mark over stevies future could de-rail all the hard work we'd put into pre-season.
gerrard.jpg

i'd quoted £60m hopeing to scare Carlo off, but when he said he'd get back to me i knew i would have to put some serious thought into Steve's future.

There was Still lots of doubt over Fernando's future and i thought it was best to tell stevie, he told me he was determined to stay but i saw in his eyes he was already giving it some thought, i knew this would affect his game and ahead of the Derby it wasnt the best preperation.

Liverpool 3 - 1 Everton

Babel 25, Torres 42, Gerrard 56, Pienaar 86

It was a great performance from the guys, highlights were once again a stunning performance from Ryan Babel who was electric. Torres, on que showed me his intent to stay by kissing the badge of the club over and over again. Gerrard followed suit with what was the most pleasing sight of the day, pulling of his shirt to reveiel an undertop saying 'Once a Red always a red' i turned upto the directors box where a thumbs up from the King topped the day off for me, a fantastic performance, early derby victory and my two superstars pledging their current future to the club.

A low point of the match was an injury to Glen Johnson, which meant i had lost both Agger and Johnson from my back four.

Liverpool 3-0 FC Vaslui
Torres 19,28, Gerrard 47
Another pleasing performance over 60% possesion, i played a full strength side that again had Skrtel in for Agger and Degen in for Johnson.
i gave Pacheco another quick run out and he showed some impressive touches.

Arsenal 2-0 Liverpool
Chamakh 7, Arshavin 54

A good performance but poor result, end to end match, more open than i had planned we each had 17 shots but we couldnt convert. A game for Fernando to forget, made even worse in just 13minutes with Insua picking up a knock, with Agger only 90% fit and on the bench i decided to bring him on at left back. Degen had picked up in an injury mid-week during training so Carra was at right back, the back four was now

Agger - Kyriakos - Skrtel - Carra

This back four finishing the Arsenal game would have to start the next match.

Vaslui 0 - 3 Liverpool
Aquilani 45, Pacheco 53, Kyriakos 70

I left Gerrard and Torres on the bench to rest them and played Joe Cole in behind Pacheo. Their link up play was fantastic. we dominated the game from start to finish and cruised into the group stages of the Europa League.

Liverpool 5-1 Stoke
Babel 11, Joe Cole 21, Kyriakos 27, Kuyt 37,43 Kitson 89

Another stunning performance from LFC, all our first five goals came in the first half, a brilliant way to round off the month.
My personal highlight was Joe Cole's first goal for the club a stunning free-kick

There were some great performances Kuyt and Babel once again justified me not finding replacments, was this due to the influx of the dutch coaches?

There were some downsides though, Gerrard had fallen awckwardly and was out for between 12 - 14 days, with 14 days to the next game Gerrard was highly doubtful,
so we closed the month 5th in the league after 3 games sat on 6 points and through to the group stages of the Europa League so i classed my first competitve month as a success.

My Player of the month: Ryan Babel
13_BABEL.jpg

I didnt know what to expect from Ryan but he was sensational for the first month, 5 goals and 4 assits in 7 games was incredible

Star Performer: Fernando Torres
Fernando_Torres_280_500340a.jpg

As there was no flop of the month i have included another star perfomer. i knew Fernando was a class act and he overcame the adversity of a summer transfer by scoring 6 in 6 with 5 assists

With 14 days till our next match, myself Ron and Kenny traveled to Holland, Ron had told us both about some young talent at Ajax and we went in perticular to see Nicolas Lodeira.
We would keep a close eye on him regardless of the performance i see this week.

The lad didnt dissapoint and i was thinking of tableing a bid then and there but i decided to hold back until January, there were some other class acts at the Club and it assured me bringing on Ron was a good decision and his experience and contacts were invaluble

Liverpool Drawn in Group of Death

Liverpool
Paris Saint-German
Borussia Dortmund
Galatasary

'Jamie what do you think of the draw, your group is already being dubbed the group of death'
'It is a difficult draw yes, at home i'm sure we will have no problems and i envisage a clean sweap at home, away however going to places such as Turkey and Dortmund will not be too easy'

'Do you still rate your chances in this competition?'
'Absolutley, to win this we will have to play some of the big teams at some point, so we may as well get them out the way now'

great story, out of interest have you used the editor to change things such as favourate teams/people and attributes to suit jamie and make it all more realistic?

i think that would be a great idea!

West Ham 1 - 2 Liverpool
Carton Cole 70 Joe Cole 1, Aquilani 90

The month started well with a decent win in a tricky game, i left Gerrard out for precuationary measures and brought in Joe Cole to play on his old stomping ground. He didnt let me down roaming the midfield popping up everywhere and scoring in just one minute. Carton Cole hit back with 20 minutes to go, before Aquilani scored an outrages 30 yarder in the 90th minute to secure a memorable win for the 'pool

Dortmund2 - 2 Liverpool
Lucas Barrios 59, 69 Kuyt 72, Jovanovic 74

A partizan crowd greeted us at the Signal Iduna Park, we new we were in for a tricky game but dominated the first half.

A worrying sight in the 20th minute when Torres went down holding his thigh, it didnt look good.
i decided to give it till half time and me sammy and thomo chatted over the tactics and who to bring on, i opted for Kuyt ahead of Pacheco, for his hard work and experience.
we went down to two silly goals from poor mistakes to go 2-0 down, then Kuyt fired us back in with a chance with a cracking strike. then Jovanovic fired his first for the club after a quality ball from insua.

the match finished 2-2 and there were some concerns about how away from home our midfield was becoming over run.
Once again Glen Johnson went down with an injury and was out for 2 weeks.
Torres' injury wasnt as bad as feared and he was fit to face Chelsea on sunday.

Liverpool 3 - 1 Chelsea
Babel 4, Torres 15, 81 Anelka 79

Degen started for us at right back, Joe Cole was dropped after a poor display in Dortmund with Aquilani coming in, and we shocked the title favourites into a 2-0 lead in just 15 minutes, Babel was destroying Bosingwa drifting in from the left.
Chelsea then grew into the game and should have nicked a goal before half time, they continued to press and grabbed a well earned goal on 79. We suddenly sprang back into life and Torres secured the win on 81.
With no injuries it was a brilliant day at the office, we had to play Chelsea again on wednesday in the Carling Cup, i would be making a few changes to the team to give players first team experience and the big players a rest.

CARLING_CUP_LARGE.jpg

Liverpool 3-1 Chelsea
Pacheco 4,9 Joe Cole 90+1 Santa Cruz 64
I made lots of changes to the side, The back four only had one change, Kyriakos in for Carra, Masch would captain the team. Lucas in the middle ahead of Javier, Jovanovic on the left, Joe Cole was given another go in behind the striker with Kuyt on the right. Pacheco up top.

Once again we beat the title favourties 3-1 and using a weakend team it was a phenominal peformance
Pacheco scored two early goals at the Kop end, before Santa Cruz pulled one back. Joe Cole then scored against his former club to cap off an extroadinary match.

We had drawn Middlesborough at home in the next round.

Sunderland 2 - 2 Liverpool
Jones 37, Bent 64 Gerrard 24,Torres 48
I brought everyone back into the team for the tricky league match, Degen was too tired and fatigued to play so Carra started at right back instead.
Gerrard opened the scoring on 20 with a close range header.
Sunderland hit us on the counter just before half time to level the scores.
Just after half time Torres sent the Anfield faithful into jubilation with a close range finish to make it 2-1
On 60 Torres had his 10th of the season chalked off for offside.
Darren Bent then made it 2-2 and we were completley robbed.

' A joke of a decision there were two men playing him onside if we had that we'd have gone 3-1 up and been cruisng. A disgrace'

quite a pleasing month impressive back to back victories over Chelsea. but two poor showings against Dortmund and Sunderland were not good.

Player of the Month: Fernando Torres, 3 goals in as many games was impressive from Nando.

Star Performance: Daniel Pacheco vs Chelsea, Carling Cup
two goals at the Kop end to knock chelsea out was sensational

My favourite team is down as Liverpool and thats it really, ive only used the editor for Phil Thompson

Great update mate good to see joe cole score against the blues

Man Utd 3 - 0 Liverpool
Rooney 10, 52, 61
Gerrard was missing the huge match, as was abi aquilani, so i pushed Joe Cole further forward and dropped lucas into the centre of the park. Degen was also injured, i went to see Glen Johnson, who i knew wasnt fully fit and asked him could he play, i feard that Martin Kelly or Stepehn Darby may not be able to handle the pressure of the game, he reluctantly agreed.
Rooney was completley destroying Carra in the first 15 minutes with Rooney putting them ahead in 10 minutes. I swapped Agger with Carra and put him on Rooney i was hoping his pace would be able to try and keep Wayne under wraps.
We went into Half time 1-0 down and i tried to rally the troops, i walked into the backroom to have a chat with Thommo and Sammy Lee, we could all here Carra screaming behind us
'Pull you fucki*g' socks up boys, i dont want to go home losing to that lot, dont embarress yourselves in the 2nd half, get fuc**ng stuck into them lads'

It didnt work ...
Rooney just destroyed our back like adding another two too his tally.
Bad day at the office all round

Liverpool 3 - 0 Wigan
Torres 19,38 Pacheco 66

A good match in which we dominated from start to finish, i played joe cole behind the striker with Gerrard further back storming forward.
JC picked an injury up early in the 2nd half, so i brought pacheco on, in behind Torres.
Cech scored his first ever senior goal, and there was jubilaiton all around Anfield, there is a growing feeling that this lad is very special.

Paris Saint-German 3 - 4 Liverpool
Guily 33, Erdinc 45+2, 70 Kuyt 5, 38 Maxi 50, Babel 59

We knew this would be a very difficult game, it was made even harder with the loss of Fernando for 4 weeks, I decided to replace Fernando once again with more experience bringing Kuyt in. With Joe Cole missing i pushed Gerrard back into the role he had been playing all year and pulled Abi Aquilani back into the side.
We started on the front foot really well, with Dirk justifying his selection very early on scoring within 5 minutes.
We played really well, i was a little worried by our defence frailties i think that as inspirational as Carra is then for next season we may have to look at other options.
The most worrying sight was Maxi going down in the 2nd half holding his face, it didnt look too good but we would have to wait and see the results of the scan.
In the 76th minutes Masch got himself sent off, i knew this was in him but i didnt want to dial it down, this is what made Javier Javier but i knew atleast twice maybe three times a season he would find himself walking the line.

Liverpool 6 - 2 West Brom
Babel 2, 67 Gerrard 11 Jovanoic 33 El Zhar 80, 88 Dorrans 7, Miller 43 ( Olsson, Valero S/O)

With Maxi missing against West Brom i decided to push Dirk out wide to the right and bring in Jovanovic upfront, i have really been impressed with him since he joined and he really had a good chance to impress today in his primary position.
It was a cracking performance some players were looking leggy by the end, El Zhar got his chance due to injuries and fatigue and he grabbed it with both hands baging two goals. Nabil isnt really in my plans and i will probally look to offload him in january but he showed he still has something to offer today, Babel is really really impressing me and has shown in know way that he is a flash cry baby as reported under the Rafa regime.

Mid week me and Thommo sat down to discuss players, we had already secured one young striker in Neymar and Pacheco was coming along well, but we had our eye on another player
Alberto Paloschi, It would be hard to get him as he is co-owned by Parma and AC Milan. Paloschi had impressed me hugely this season scoring 14 goals in just 7 appearances and winning the Golden Shoe, it was remarkable his nearest challenger had 6, he was a must have.
Paloschi-wallpaper-23-480x320.jpg

Liverpool 3 - 0 Middlesbourgh
Kuyt 2 Babel 26 Jovanovic 81

For the Carling Cup i kept the same strong side, i wanted to win well and we were leading birlliantly at half time, so i took Gerrard off to give him a rest.

Player of the Month: Captain fantastic had been a true marvel leading by example.
steven_gerrard_the_best_player1.jpg

Star Performer: once again Babel had impressed i was shocked by the quallity of the player.
