Alan Knill regisns as manager of Scunthorpe United which sparks an end to his reign which lasted only a few months. No reason has been given to why Alan Knill has resigned but reports are saying that it is over health concerns. As a former player of Scunthorpe United he was a fan favourite but the news to most of the fans has put them all in a state of shock and dis-belief.
On the same day his resignation is received and finalized, an unknown manager has taken the helm at Glanford Park. Martyn Brown of South Elmsall, West Yorkshire takes over the side in North Lincolnshire on a 2 year contract worth £1,100 per week. Martyn has been reported to be over the moon with the appointment and the chance to live his dream to become a manager. It has been over 2 years since he got his coaching badges and has waited patiently in the wings for an opportunity to arrive.
