Today Blackburn Rovers have announced in a massive overhaul of the club with the shock departure of over 75% of the footballing staff.

The Board today confirmed that they have terminated the contract of Manager Owen Coyle with immediate effect.

There have been numerous changes in various other key positions which the board will look to address in the coming months.

"We would like to thank Mr. Coyle for his efforts and his commitment to the club, However, we have to think of the longevity and desired success that this club deserves."

"Blackburn Rovers has to move into the future we have to think of our key stakeholders, in this case it is the fans , they have been deprived and forced away from the club by the board's failure to act with their best interests at heart - This is a comment that has taken a lot of reflection and review and it is for this reason that the club has decided to develop a 7 year plan to push this club back to the top."
