Transfers Out

bd30458a60bad82adbdc3db4c31f4831.png

The transfers here are players I didn't see getting a game or players who I got decent offers for and the loans were just young players that weren't going to be getting a game and who could develop elsewhere.

I only signed four guaranteed first team players ; M'bengue, Nem, Fernando and Drenthe. With Adryan and Torres most likely rotating in and out a couple of games this season. The rest of the players I signed were actually young regens which struck me as odd at the start of the game finding lots of good regens I actually found quite a lot more but there clubs either wanted too much or they didn't want to join us. If you want to see any just ask.

Pre-season Results

The first thing that struck me as I was going through pre-season was I have a lot of friendlies. The first six games went absolutely swimmingly with a perfect record I especially enjoyed that 5-1 win over Fiorentina who actually played quite a few first team players. The next two games However weren't so great the 3-3 draw wasn't so bad because we produced a good comeback from 3-1 down. The next game worried me immensely as Wolves had just recently been relegated from this league and then they go and beat me 3-1.

Summary: August was a good month for us with the opening 3-1 win against Villa reassuring me after the defeat to Wolves and the solid 4-0 win in the cup with a terrific 25 minute hat trick from Drenthe who actually won his own penalty and Le Fondre coming on towards the end and getting a goal. However I was not happy at the end of the Arsenal game because the late goal was actually a shocking goal to concede as Federici tried to pass the ball out at a goal kick and Giroud intercepted and I thought Federici made up for it by saving the shot it fell straight to Gervinho in an empty net.

Summary: September was an extremely disappointing month for the club with 3 losses out of five games in my opinion we could have won at least four games but we only won one. I was especially not happy with the Carlisle game I let my assistant handle it and he completely let me down. The main reason we played so bad was Federici was just awful and so were our strikers only scoring two goals in four games, however the last game completely shocked me as we managed to score more in that game in all four others together.

Summary: This month was played fairly was expected however I would much rather in future games not lose quite as badly against the top teams such as 5-1 spankings however I will be honest and admit that the just simply outplayed me completely the only time we really got a chance we took them. However the Sunderland game was a very good performance even though we had to rely on two goals from our center back however one of them was beautifully tucked away in the corner. All in all a fairly standard month.

Summary: One good game in the month the West Ham game however admittedly the Liverpool and Tottenham games were pretty solid results considering we had been getting thrashed by bigger clubs. We have been dominating possession but have been struggling to hit the net the QPR game was the perfect demonstration of this as we had good spells of dominance but couldn't finish. I was also extremely disappointed with the West Brom game as we seem to be getting thrashed by teams of an equal standard.

Summary: Another semi decent month for us with 3 draws and 1 win. But again another big defeat by a club of a similar level which again made me feel extremely disappointed, which made me decide it was time for some new faces at the club but you'll have to wait until the next update for that. I was quite happy with the Villa game. A solid team performance. We again are dominating possession and not doing so well in the final third. But the draws are definitely something that needs to be eradicated.

Transfers Out

Some loans of young players who weren't getting much game time was needed here to further aid their development because some of them seem like they will be monstrous players for the team. And the older players that left were players who had played zero to three games and I thought what's the point in continuing to pay their wages if their not playing? However some of them I couldn't get permanent deals for so they just left on loan.

Transfers In

So here are the players we brought in to help strengthen a leaky defense. Jonathan was a steal at 2.5 million he will definitely be our starting right back. Kameni actually had to leave for the African cup of nations which I forgot about so he wasn't able to play many games. I'm sure you've noticed the big deal here Yann M'vila he was transfer listed and I thought why not at least try and he decided he wanted to join us. He is probably the top player at the club right now. Heurtaux will be most probably a starting center back but he does have some decent competition and after the sale of Kebe and McAnuff I realized I had no backup wingers so I decided to bring in two players in on loan who will actually start a fair few games. Coumans is a young striker I tried to sign in the summer however he got injured just before he signed so I had to wait a while to sign him.

However the two losses to Southampton who are apparently a rival club of Readings definitely wasn't good enough. I was quite disappointed with the Swansea game as after we drew level again at 2-2 we were losing again 5 minutes later. The Arsenal game was expected to be honest. The two games we won were both well played wins.

Summary: I'll be honest this is late because of the poor form I was just in a bad mood with FM. Anyway, yeah you can see how bad we've been the results have been terrible. The worst part is we have dominated some games and just couldn't score and in every game we've dominated for a 10 to 15 minute spell and we just can't do anything. Also teams scoring pretty much bull **** goals against us. It's hard to take.

Good story but looks like you're going down :( Why did you sell Pearce, Gunter, Kebe? They're all good players, your dfence needs to be improved massively, have a stab at Rhys Williams or Ashley Williams

I had better players in those positions and the players who were sold had played hardly played any games. I'm hoping to keep myself up because the run of games is in our favour our only top ten opponents if I can remember correctly are Man City and Everton.

Summary: We had an absolutely fantastic and at one point I thought I could say we had a perfect month with all wins. Gorkks spoke to the press about how the players should get behind me and it seems to have worked with four absolute fantastic results against our relegation opposition and a team chasing europe. In the Man City game I was really annoyed by M'Bengue's decision to slide in at a bad time.

Summary: Another fantastic month which has got me wondering about why we couldn't do this the rest of the season. We scored a lot of good goals this month which was nice to see to help appease our fans. However we are still giving away stupid goals such as the Newcastle game with M'bengue giving away another penalty which made me sub him off straight away. He conceded two pens in two games due to stupid challenges.

As you can see we cleaned shop, with a lot of players leaving this was mainly because I needed to make money to spend money after being given a measly budget of 4 million for a top half finish. All the players that left on a free were players I saw having no foreseeable future. Majoritively the loans were young players I sent out because I didn't really feel they would get enough game time to be able to develop well enough. Except for Gunter who nobody seems to want to buy. The Morrison transfer was no doubt our best piece of business getting 5 million for a player who seemed worse than the rest of the defense. All the players sold were players who I didn't think live up to standard.

Transfers In

da71de7a2b084b9790658c1738b05b37.png

I bet you were wondering who we signed after all those players sold surprisingly not that many. Only five guaranteed first team players whoever a few will be sniffing in and around the first team places. Basically I've signed the players most people would sign Destro because he looked a classy striker who could become better after time. However I found Arsenal had transfer listed Giroud and decided I had to swoop at 7.25 million and I beat Bayern to his signature, which was nice. Corchia was signed to be our starting right back because he was also transfer listed and looked to have some nice stats for a 22 year old and also looked like he could develop. Capuano was signed from relegated Pescara. He however didn't seem to be at falt as he looks a great defender.

Pre Season Results
8079ac55b0b6950eac12dc3f750e20de.png

A fairly bog standard pre season with the results not really showing much of a concern maybe the lack of goals being scored in a few of the games was a bit disappointing after two new signings I was expecting more goals but maybe the players would really gear up for the start of the season. The only result that I really wanted to see was the Roma game so I could see if I could keep up with some of the more big boys of the league.

Summary: Actually a fairly good month with a decent start, however the last game wasn't great. The Newcastle game was good we moved the ball about well and showed we were ready for the new season but that being said we had 30 shots so I was getting nervous that we wouldn't score. Again the Tottenham game was a very close affair we managed to keep up with them in all areas until M'vila tried to play it back to the keeper and Kweuke decided to intercept it and finish it which at the end of the game left me quite disappointed. The last game what can I say we just can't perform in the cup, after the first goal I was really thinking we were going out but Adryan saved us. The penalty's were nerve racking but our young Spanish goalkeeper made the save we needed to bring us to victory.

Summary: A pretty good 2 month spell we won 3 out of 7 which isn't good enough, we should have beat Brighton. The Wolves game was absolutely shocking they've just been promoted and are the only team to beat us by more than one and we've played some of the big boys. The players just couldn't pass or defend so the strikers barely got a chance. Anyway the Chelsea and Man City games are much better than last season. However I was expecting a draw against Chelsea after Kameni saved an 82nd minute penalty. The wins this month were great showing Destro and Giroud are forming a nice little partnership up top.

Summary: A fairly average month. The Sunderland result was definitely a disappointment the players didn't show much enthusiasm in that game to go and try and get us the win however the only moments of note were the goals there wasn't much to the game the same with the Arsenal game nothing seemed to really happen. The Stoke game was another pretty boring game we played a bit better this time around and managed a semi decent performance. The last game of the month was easily the worst. We should have destroyed Cardiff at least 3-0 to make things worse Jonathan was sent off for elbowing somebody on the other team. While our goal was a break away from a penalty save from Kameni which won us a corner which Heurtaux scored from.
