So it begins

After a surprising press conference was called by Leicester City, the press in the Midlands and Sky Sports News wondering what it could all be about. With 7 weeks til the start of the new season.

The start of the press conference and chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha starts off with how much he cares for the club and how he wants too build the club for greater things especially for the fans. Which he believes will happen even more now. As he announces the Nigel Pearsen has left the club and is happy too announce the Robbie Savage a past hero of the club will be taking charge .

The ròom goes silent and the surprising news as Savage walks out to meet the media. With Savage announcing that he is delighted to take over the club he loves, with a long term future in mind. With the aim to have and build a team of passion and commitment for the fans.

Asked what he would like too build at the club and changes to the squad. Robbie announces that British players are key for his time at the club and wants too bring in fresh and hungry talented young talents to the squad.

Note: Next post will evaluate the sqaud and targets in mind. Plus i am still commited to my Villa save and story thread

oh god not Savage lol the man of many clubs, including a brief spell at Brighton! lol but good luck with this and i hope to see players like Ulloa, Wood, Hammond and Upson do well for you! not on a biased note at all! lol

So have a long look and think about the squad. There are a few players staying and who could be going. So heres the squad.

Goalkeepers
Schmeical
Hamer
Summary: Quite strong in this department with Schmeichal being a good quality keeper in the league.

Defenders
De Leat
Konchesky
Morgan
Upson
Moore
Schlupp
Simpson
Wasilieski
Summary: Need to get some reinforcements as especially Centre backs have no depth. Moore and Morgan will be first choice. Hopefully Morgan can be rock for a few years.

Midfielders
Drinkwater
James
King
Hammond
Powell
Albrighton
Cambiasso
Knockeart
Mahrez
Summary: So centre Midfield looks quite strong with Cambiasso a legend even if he is getting old. Weakness is defiantly on the wings. Weak link is Albrighton.

Strikers
Vardy
Nugent
Ulloa
Summary: Abit weak in this area too. Ulloa could do a job but not sure so we will see how he does in pre season.

So heres a few targets so far what im thinking.
Alli (Mk dons)
Kane (Spurs)
Grealish (Villa)
Ings (Burnley)
Byram(Leeds)
Mowatt(Leeds)
Mathews(Celtic)
Macloed(Rangers)

Leicester fan myself and looking forward to this!

Doing a Leicester save currently and definitely recommend sorting out the wing positions and a maybe a couple of defenders on loan for back up :)

Thanks mate, im a Villa fan and doing a save with them too. Built a awesome squad but fancy a challenge and with british talent rather than foreign

So the transfer window has been busy and leicester announce a press conference with new manager Robbie Savage. He comes out and again points out how only young, hungry and british players will be looked at too improve the team. Asked about the club transfer budget. Savage announces that he was delighted to be offered a budget of 11.5 mil but has been disappointed about the clubs finances as a balance of 6 mil is shocking. In which he dosent want to be know to bankrupt the club which he loves. So cash will be looked after well to start of with.

It is announced 3 players have joined the club with one player going out. It is explained when the three players walk in, why they were bought. Alli from Mk dons bought for orginal price of 1.5 plus 3mil in future add ons is a fantastic young midfielder to add creativity. Ciarian Clark joins for 1.1 mil too beef up the defence and go in the starting line up too to Morgans lack of pace. Finally young and attacking winger Grealish is brought in on loan to strengthen the wing. The club is also sad to see Wood leave but 2.5 mil was a good price to help our finances.

So the Savage era is in full swing with 6 games already gone. With it going all good so far with the fans loving the style of play the team is doing under Savage. There was one more new signing the club before the window shut with Matt Ritchie coming into the club to increase the strength on the wings.

So far there as been on minor disappointment but it has also included a massive victory which was totally unexpected. Heres who has been the top performers so far, as u will see some of the new signings have started out amazing for me.

Matches
Leicester 1(Clark) - Liverpool 3
Savage View: Not the worse result in the world but partly blame myself as i thought the 4-4-1-1 formation would work. It started off well with new signing Clark scoring on his debut to give us a lead. Then liverpool started running over us after a Balotelli screamer scored a equaliser. Decision has been made after the game to try 4-1-2-2-1(wingers).

QPR 0 - Leicester 2 ( Knockaert, Ulloa)
Savage View: So Delighted that the new formation has worked out amazing. Especially considering that it was away, key point was to move Cambiasso just in front of the defense. The front three worked wonders together in their link up play. Ulloas header near the end of the first half helped to give us a decent lead then we held solid in the 2nd half.

Leeds 3 (won on pens) - Leicester 3 ( Mahrez, Clark, De Leat)
Savage View: Not too disappointed in the result as we played well as we went down to 10 men after we were 3-2 up and lost Mahrez after a bad challenge by one of the leeds players. The nickname of dirty leeds definalty is true.

Leicester 2 (Konchesky, Grealish) - Sunderland 1
Savage View: So we come out fighting after being knocked out early in the cup. We dominated in the game with a key moment being Konchesky scoring a long range freekick which left me and the fans speechless. Grealish then tapped in a wonderful team move too score his first goal for the club. Hopefully we can try and make his move permanent at some point. Breaking news is that Matt Ritchie has moved to the club for 3 mil after Mahrez got injured against Leeds.

Aston Villa 1 - Leicester 2 ( Ritchie, King)
Savage View: We started really badly with Agbonalhor scoring straight from kick off, dont have a clue what we were doing. After a stern speech from the Touchline we straight away attacked and a lovely cross from Grealish to new teammate Ritchie who was delighted to show fans that he belongs in the league.

Leicester 2 ( Ritchie, James) - Arsenal 0
Savage View: So how can i explain this result, it was just amazing. The team worked so hard for the result and icoudlnt ask for anymore. Matt Ritchie scored 2nd goal in 3 games for us and is looking a great addition. We held out for 80 mins then what could have been disaster as Drinkwater got his second yellow. As a risky move by us and we took of Ullao and bought on James as a extra midfielder so went 4-1-4. Which payed off as a Knochesky freekick was saved and there james was to tap in from close range. We hung on for the last five mins and we did it.

So delighted how the start has been with it being a hard choice who is the star player so far but Jack Grealish gets it for gis hard work and 1 goal and 2 assits.

We are also unexpected by media reports are found top of the league after 5 games
