Alright - fairly simple. Since im Scottish and I dont see many Scottish challenges out there, i thought i would make one -

You have to start with either Sunday League or Automatic reputation and start from the bottom of the pile and make your way to a Scottish Hero by becoming a World Class manager and winning the Scottish National side a major tournement.

Now i've got time, and football manager 12's been installed into my laptop! Think im gonna give my own challenge a go!
 
Done 6/8 (with Alloa) but not sure what I was set as reputation wise when I started, sure it was automatic but probably semi pro.
 
Nice man! Straight promotions? Or struggle throughout years? Would love to see some details man! never seen someone guide a low scottish side to so much success.
 
(Feel free to skip to TL;DR summary at the bottom of the post)

Straight promotions to SPL from 3rd div. Think it was my 6th season in the SPL before I won it.

Didn't really document anything screenshot wise until I won the 1st Div. First signings in Div3 were Jamil Adam & Damian Casalinuovo so I pretty much creamed Div 3 and 2.

Won Division 1 by 1 point over Partick, who had led it most of the season (their appalling run in of results helped!!)

First season in SPL was a struggle, managed to stay up with 5 points to spare (10th, above St Johnstone and ICT).

The next season I managed to get 4th place, and a place in the Europa League, as well as win the Scottish Cup v Motherwell!

Season after that I struggled thanks to European matches, and finished 6th in the league - missing out on Europe. I sucked pretty hard in Europe also, finishing bottom of a group (but also beat Palermo 4-0!)

The following year (2017/18) I got 4th again, so Europa League football. Won the league cup and pumped Rangers 6-1 at Ibrox! My chairman managed to then sell my star player for 2m + 5.25 over 30 months (who I'd only had for 6 months).

So in 2018/19 I managed to get all the way to the Europa League Semis, before being beaten 3-0 on aggregate v Marseille (who lost in the final). I beat PSV twice, Fulham once, and Red Star twice to win my group, beat Benfica, Fulham again and Braga before being knocked out. Beat Hearts in the Scottish cup final to make up for it and finished 3rd in the SPL behind Rangers and Hibs (Celtic 5th).

2019/20 I won the SPL (Opening game v Rangers was won 7-0!) but was knocked out at the first knockout round of the Europa league (Werder Bremen) - I'd finished second in my group with Olympiakos, Man Utd and Club Brugge. Won the League cup.

2020/21 season I'm topping the SPL after 26 games (a point above Rangers). I qualified from my Champions league group with consumate ease (Juventus, Chelsea and Girondins Bordeaux) but i'm 2-0 down after the first leg (away) v. Bayern in the first knockout. I'm in the league cup final (Hearts) and still in the Scottish Cup (QF).

*Bows down* That's amazing mate, absolute fantastic. Defo in the mood to do this challenge - thinking of trying it with Stenhousemuir, but we will have to see. Personally dont like Alloa, there name, there club and just everything about them i dont like ha! But those achievements are fantastic mate, well done! You scottish yerself, aye?
 
Started an East Stirlingshire save up a few weeks ago, got promotion to the First Division with a few games spare (Jamil Adam tearing up Division 2&3 :) ) Had a nice cup run this season aswell, knocked out in the semi-finals having beaten Celtic 3-0 at Parkhead!

Not confident in my team's ability in the First Division though, any players I should look out for&try and get?
 
I'm also at 6/8 but with Annan. In season 21/22 I'm top of SPL and through to knock-out stages of champions league. It took me longer to get to the SPL but I've been pretty successful once there. I've won 2 SPL titles in a row and 6 Scottish cups, 1 whilst still in Div 2!, another one in Div1 and currently 4 in a row whilst in SPL. Hopefully this will be the year for Champions League glory...

I have started this with East stirling and have had back to back promotions to the first division and have also won the challenge cup.
 
I signed Jamil Adam in my Elgin game and he's pretty much my whole club. Top scorer in the third and second divisions, currently topping the first division charts as well. Can he hold his own in the SPL too?
 
Do we get extra bonus points for completing any of the club challenges with a team made up purely of Scottish players? :)

Starting this now, took me until the start of second season to even get a job in a third division club. Took over at Stenhousemuir(they got relegated)
 
Just unlocked this achievement today playing as Elgin.

Romped the third division with a front three of Jamil Adam, James Cronesberry and Craig Gunn.
Finished third in the second division and won the play offs (final against Livi: 0-1, 4-4). Would've won the league if Adam didn't miss 15 games.
First year in the first division I didn't do very well, the second I finished second and the third I won on the last day, on goal difference. Like in Redders' game, Partick were about 10 points ahead but threw it away at the end losing their second last game and drawing the last to let me sneak in.

This guy was my top scorer last year (and the league's top scorer). Yep, he's a left back with 1 for finishing, 5 for heading and he can't take free kicks or penalties. What a guy!

My board has just spent 2.4m on undersoil heating, putting me 2m in debt. They've since pumped in 500k and I got 600k from TV rights, but I'm still majorly in debt, which could be a problem. I hope I don't need to buy seats as well... (While my stadium is a construction site, I'm going to groundshare with Forres Mechanics... who don't have undersoil heating.)

I've just been given odds of 2000-1 to win the SPL. Sounds like it might be a tad tricky...
 
Just taken East Stirling to the Premiership in my 4th season (with 5 games to spare). Only season I didn't achieve promotion was my first in Div 1 where I finished second by a point.

Achievement unlocked...yay!
