How the **** is this man still in charge?

He has no-one to answer to. No-one is prepared to issue a serious challenge to get rid of this cancer in football.

This is how lightly they view the subject in football aswell:

Uefa regulations stipulate a maximum five-game ban for "anyone who insults the human dignity of a person or group of persons, by whatever means, including on grounds of colour, race, religion or ethnic origin". Wisla Krakow's Nikola Mijailovic was given such a ban for racially abusing Blackburn's Benni McCarthy in 2006. The Serb was playing within a month and now can be found in the Russian Premier League.

This is where the FA can do the right thing, and condemn these comments. We've come so far in stamping out racism, then this. Ex players like Barnes and Collymore must feel incredibly let down by this-in fact all players. The FA have to say something. If they can criticise FIFA over the poppy situation, they can most certainly criticise them with this.

I would deny it. There is no racism.
"There is maybe one of the players towards another - he has a word or a gesture which is not the correct one.
"But the one who is affected by that, he should say 'this is a game'. We are in a game, and at the end of the game, we shake hands, and this can happen, because we have worked so hard against racism and discrimination."

there are just no words...

Couldn't believe the epic backtrack statement either. Wonder how many lawyers worked on that to try to repair the damage

now my friends, we go far war ;P

*epic fight happens *

I couldn't believe my ears when I heard these comments on the radio earlier. How can he come out and make a statement like that? When the top man in world football comes out and says such a thing, it just makes me feel like there is absolutely no hope for the future of the game. He won't resign, and there isn't anyone in FIFA with the balls to stand up to him. Blatter is a walking, talking disaster.

thats for u Blatter ;)

Given that he is elected primarily by African countries you would presume that morality > money for these associations especially in racism but no they are all as grant hungry as each other.

What's his advice to black footballers next year in Poland and 2018 in Russia? Pick the banana's up and eat them?

This man never fails to bemuse and considering he believes FIFA to be a 'sovereign state' of which he is the head you would think there would be repercussions for these remarks, but there will not be. The only thing I will say for the Premier League/English FA is throughout the kickitout and other racism program's ran in the United Kingdom this country has made far more strides without FIFA than any other country has with FIFA.

This man, as he says himself so often, speaks for the 'football family' and the football fans around the world... Yet again it feels like we are all being voiced by a mad man with small mans syndrome who is so out of touch with reality and football that his quest for power over rides any kind of moral responsibility he holds as head of FIFA.

It's a statement that could put football back in the bad days

The last one that did try it got banned for life for "corruption".. He's too powerful.

If he hangs on to his job after this I don't think any Blatter supporting association can credibly say they are not either corrupt, ignorant or out of touch.

He's essentially saying to Russian/Polish/Ukrainian football fans that it's fine to monkey chant; throw banana's and be racist towards players because of the color of their skin so long as you give them a decent clap off the pitch at the end.

This 'zero tolerance' policy is the kind he showed when he lifted suspension on Exco members earlier in the year and dismissed cases before his ethics committee even got to see them. His defence is essentially ''I'm not racist, I'm friends with Robert Mugabe.''

How this man survives makes everyone involved in football look bad, if people seriously wanted to get rid of him they would dampen the African/Caribbean associations wholly corrupt support of this man and get him out for the good of football. The likelihood of morality, ethics and football coming ahead of promised FIFA grants however is about as slim as a supermodels waist line.

This is for you Sepp you ****

Blatter aside, the Puskas award voting is open and if we can ignore the leader of world football being a moron for 1 minute we can see some of the best goals over the past year. These 10 nominee's will be cut down to the 3 with the highest votes and polling will recommence on December 5th.

Nominee's include - Giovanni Dos Santos and Wayne Rooney among others.

FIFA.com - The FIFA Puskás Award

My vote goes to Rooney because of the pure technical execution of what he accomplished.

Voted Rooney. Cause he does sexy football and very sexy goals. And he's absolute quality.

(unfortunately still think Messi will win. cause it's messi)

ahh cant decide between neymar, dejan stankovic, ronney, or Benjamin DE CEULAER goals. ;)
