So Udine in the CL and teams like Inter and Roma not even making it to European League. I am not glad with it but perhaps next season they will be even trying harder. With the financial fairplay and their coaches (Montella is rumored for Roma) and their youth systems I am wondering if we are going to see the new Inzaghi, Del Piero, Gattuzo and Nesta in next season.

I certainly hope so... I've also heard AVB might be going to Roma. Think Inter will be very strong under stramaccioni (think he'll get the job) and perhaps he'll bring in a few of the youngsters who won that tournament. (is it called nextgen?)

Think Italy will do well in the Euros.

Well in the Roma Facebook group the first 2 names are Montella and Bielsa, who are under contract. ABV was an option but I think the board faced some problems. I think Montella is the best option for Roma. If the club wants to create a legacy and a system close to one in Barca, as the board said, when they bought Roma, they should def bring Montella back.

I also think that Inter with Stramaccioni are on the right course. In fact Inter and Roma's current youth teams are the best in the world. Sorry for the Barca fans, but this year the Italian youth teams were the best. And I will be glad if Stramaccioni brings in new faces.

Italy has a great squad now and I think they are the main hidden competitor for winning the EU CUP.

Almost brought me to tears those scenes from Milan, especially Rino's sobbing, little face :'(

Thought Roma played some good football this season, will take a number of years for them to start to emulate Barca, since Barca have been building their set up that way for 20 years or so.

Would be interesting if Roma and Inter began to make more of an impact on Italian football in the future through the youth systems, I've always seen them as the two perennial underachievers of Italian football (especially Inter).

Theres also a lot of established young players who are italian, Balotelli and Rossi (if he recovers from injury) spring to mind as the best.

So true about the Euros. Outside of Spain, Germany and Holland I think Italy are the best side, maybe not on paper, but they have a very solid team.

I would not underestimate Italy at all, they have a world class team in the back and in the mid. The only problems they face are in attack and lacking a consistent forward. I hope they go with a young counter attacking trio of Giovinco, Ballotelli and Borini, but I really doubt it. Giovinco, Ballotelli and Aquafresca were a really strong attacking trio for Italy under 21 few years ago.

The main problem of Italy is that they are too dependent on Pirlo. I would love to see another trio there in the mid - Pirlo as DM dlp and Marqisio and De Rossi/Noccerino (acting as Vidal like he did in the last Roma match and scored a goal) as CMs or even box to box. Then add the Juve's back 4, which imo was the best defense this year. They just need a replacement of Lichteiner and I think Abbate is a good one and Italy will have some real long shot power, energy and quickness.

I know I am a bad tactician :D

Milan are back in for Vertonghen who has said that he likes Prem, but if Milan come calling he cant say no.

Hope Galliani and Berlu free up funds for this move. Defense of TS33 & Vertonghen could become as good as Maldini & Nesta.

Milan are challenging Juve for Verratti it seems. He was close to signing us last season, but at that point wanted to have season with Pescara. Transfer fee rumoured to be somewhere around 10m euros.

Milan edging closer on Fransesco Acerbi. He's thought to be cheaper alternative to Vertonghen / Astori to replace Nesta. Still hope we go for either one of those two also and offload Bonera.

Milan also trying to sign Nuri Sahin. Would make sense since Real owe still over 20m from Kaka deal.

Galliani also seems to warm to idea of somekind of swap between Robinho and Ganso. Ganso's agents are currently in Italy.

On goalkeeper department Milan are looking at Mattia Perin who's seen as longterm replacement for Abbiati.

Alegri seems to play FM too! Roma are also rumored to look for Astori's sign. Juve seems to go for Asamoah from Udine too. Pitty Udine are going to sell their players once again.

Shameful league to be honest, whenever Juventus win something you get suspicious.

Unlike the English League, Serie A hasn't been banned from europe for 5 years. Football scandals yes, but at least there is no blood on our leagues hands unlike in England.
