I actually had a better Scottish player called Adam Walker with my PSG side. I think you'll find him on page 63. or thereabouts.
 
Well i will try again as i didnt get any response when i first posted, This is my regen called jasper Volkers. Got him from my affilate club genk as my youth academy produces ****... He has the potentiol to become a 4.5star player! that is crazy :D

That's a great player. One tip: get him tutored by a player with very high determination & influence (and ideally with preffered moves you'd like on your pupil). This will increase the determination on your player which makes him train better = develop faster.

I decided to add Ligue 1 to my game as I was the new France manager and this guy appeared at Lyon. He was instantly snapped up by Real and he is straight into my France team as well.

It's really lucky that my assistant recommended him to me because I was going to use the same squad as before without looking at new players and now that he's in the team he has 5 goals, 3 assists and 2 MotM awards in 2 games from right wing.

Now one question I dont really have any old wingers and certanly not with high influence, but gerrard however would be "the perfect tutor" but they dont play the same position, is that a problem?
 
@ Tommy, my information earlier was actually not correct.

Determination does not affect how well a player trains and thus does not affect how fast a player progresses. Determination is still a very important attribute tho; it decides "how commited a player is to succeeding in every action they perform and in every match scenario".
How well a player trains and progresses is determined by their "professionalism", a hidden attribute which you can get an idea of by looking at the player's personality. See Player Personalities - Guide to Football Manager 2012 to get an idea of which personalities (high professionalism and other goodies) make for good tutors.
