I so hate the impact of large injuries. Leandro, one of my brighest prospects, got a torn hamstring, was out for months, lost tons of his ability, and now at 21 he's barely better than he was at 18:

My other brightest prospect is having a much smoother progression; van de Stelt now 20yrs old:

This one is supposedly my 5th best striker... I'm thinking of selling nrs 2, 3 & 4 on that list so that this guy will be nr. 2 and actually get played by my assistant:

YOUR 5TH BEST STRIKER. WHAT THE :O

What training schedules do you use? They all look amazing.

For strikers i have a schedule with aerobic, ball control & shooting just on high, and tactics/attacking/strenght at about 50% with attacking one tick less than the other two so the schedule stays in "medium". 0 defending. I just leave them on that the entire year. Two times per year i tell my entire team, from youngest to oldest, that they need to work harder if they want a 1st team spot, and if they talk back i tell them i'm in charge so they better listen. You'd be surprised how many will plainly admit they've been slacking (at least on my team... most of my players have high professionalism & pressure etc due to generations of tutoring). Match preperation workload, i put it on very high when the players return from holiday, and gradually decrease to very low as the players become familiar with my tactic. After the last game of the season i put it on none, till holiday's over, back on very high.

Update on the first two french regens I signed in my current save:

Both have garnered worldwide reputation in the past 18months and considering I signed them for a combined fee of 4M Euros andit'd take around 300x that to take them away now ;) - I'm pretty happy. Rousseau had his best season at AML in 2015-16 and the seasons following he has been DLF behind Hailu as Poacher and then AMR. (I flip tactics a little every season).

What do you guys think? I have many regens to show but I'll probably show them all as a team at the end of the current season.

i wouldnt go by the *rating to much, melunier is going to be much better than felix

Felix may have a higher PA though that wont really show through for 4-5 seasons :P .

I dont have that Genie thing so I dont know for sure, Im just speaking from past experiences

Sporting CP's - youth system continues to blow me away

Bought these two chumps - the first one i'm hoping becomes amazing - the second one i loaned as a back up - and he's ended up being my top scorer... as a winger :P

And these two guys are a bit of a conundrum - the first one is a wonderkid (supposedly) but his stats seem a bit off.
the Youssuf guy only has a few stars on PA - but his stats seem like they're going to kick in big time.

thoughts?

Yussuf will be a tank. Your scouts take into account the facilities of the parent club as to whether they'll develop well or not. Furhter to that, they get it wrong often. I'd stump up the money for him any day! That Blanco guy loooks amazing too, work on that composure trhough (think that's the ~8 mental stats i saw?)

Renato has good stat distribution, and if he's a wonderkid with high star potential he'll turn into a great player. He has no weaknesses physical; everything is already 10+; everything except jumping will be 15+ when developed. He has 10+ in aggression & bravery, so he will make challenges. Anticipation/concentration/decisions/determination/positioning/workrate will all be 15+, those are all key defensive attributes. Technically all his defensive stats are already at 16 for a 18yr old midfielder, that's awesome. To top it off his passing at 17 is great, and first touch (which can be problematic for a DM if it's TOO low), is already at 13 so will get 15+ aswell. And finally 14 longshots with 15 technique (again, at 18yrs) should allow for some longshot goals.

What is it about his stats that make you say they seem off?

That's not correct; club facilities obviously play a large part in how much of a player's potential he will reach, but it is not taken into consideration for scout reports. In a scout report, the potential ability of a player is what he could potentially reach under the best of circumstances; the best he can realistically still obtain at this point of his carreer.
The part about scouts getting it wrong is correct; that's why "judging player ability/potential" aren't just for show and why you should always scout a player multiple times before making decisions; the more often a scout watches a player play, the more correct his evaluation will be and the more information about hidden stats like injury proneness he will discover.

Has that changed? I've always thought that they took progress rate at the club as a factor of potential? I must've been misinformed. Apologies.

This lad here looks like an absolute ******* monster. He's unhappy and I'm his favoured personnel (gave him his first cap). Problem is I have a 198 PA regen striker, Fierro, Cavani and Suarez already with a one striker system. ****. :(
