Strong Month Leaves Everton in 6th

everton-fc-players-celebrate-620-894175877.jpg

Another solid month for Everton sees them move up into 6th position. Zidane has masterminded another 2 wins for his team, with an excellent 2-0 win over Watford, and despite only winning 1-0, a good performance at Turf Moor against Burnley. Then the highlight of the year for all Evertons fans came around, inviting Liverpool to Goodison Park. With the expectations of the fans on both sets of players, it turned out to be a very disappointing game, and ended 0-0. The final game of the month saw Everton welcome Chelsea. Chelsea showed their superiority and won the game 2-0. Next month sees Everton play Wolves on the Capital One Cup Quarter Final, then trips to Tottenham and Manchester United, before playing Newcastle at home.

Everton have taken the opportunity to bring in some new players while the transfer window is currently open. The have signed Brazilian legend Ronaldinho on a 1 year contract. Zidane said he is delighted to sign Ronaldinho, and is excited to see his superb skill for his team. They have also signed England legend David Beckham on a 1 year deal.

They have also managed to bring in Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, and Manchester City midfielder Javi Garcia on loan until the end of the season. Zidane will now be hoping his new editions will help the team push on, and hopefully get a European spot

Everton Keep Some Dignity After Hectic Month

January proved to be an unbelievably busy month for Everton, with them playing a total of 9 games in all competitions! It also saw them come up against Champions Manchester City 3 times, twice in the Capital One Cup, and once in the FA Cup. They were unable to reach the final of the Capital One Cup, and were beaten 7-1 on aggregate. Everton did later get their revenge in the FA Cup 4th round, beating City 4-0. They also had a good 2-1 win over Arsenal in the league. It has been a good month which has moved them up into 6th position. They are also hoping for another good run in the cup, but will face rivals Liverpool in the 5th round and will have to beat them if they want to go further.

The Everton Awards

Now its the end of the season, and its time to award the players who have worked really hard this season. There have been several good players, and its very hard to pick one from each position.

Defender of the Year

Phil Jagielka
View attachment 288864

Phil Jagielka has had a really superb season, and has been an absolute rock at the heart of defense. He also had the second highest average rating out of the whole team.

Midfielder of the Year

Anderson

Anderson has been the best player for Everton at season. He played his heart out all season, and his amazing dribbling skills have proved to be a big problem season. He has also pitched in with 12 goals.

Javier Hernandez
View attachment 288866

Javier Hernandez has been a revelation since signing on loan from Manchester United. He has scored 14 goals this season, and will be sorely missed my Everton fans. Zidane will be hoping to get him back, possibly permanently.

Wilfried Zaha
View attachment 288867

Zaha has had a superb season season out on the right wing. He amazing dribbling skills has proved to be a constant threat, and has helped Everton with 15 assists and 8 goals. The fans are really excited about his prospect.

Ive been given around £18 Million to spend :) Any suggestions on players?

Jan Kirchhoff from Mainz I think, been amazing for me alongside Jagielka

Everton Sign Several Players

Everton have again used the opportunity of the transfer window to bring in several players, most of them being hot prospects for the future. Pedro Alonso is probably the biggest prospect of the young players Zidane has signed, and is already progressing really well. Rodrigo Valerius is another one with big potential, and Zidane will be looking to get the best out of him. Everton have also bought some more experienced players in the form of Frank Lampard and Denilson. Going the other way, Darron Gibson has left the club for £5 Million to Newcastle, and Victor Anichibe left for Q.P.R for £1 Million/
