OCTOBER

celta.png

Lineup
- Soumaworo, Tomiyasu, Fofana, Quaresma, Janybek Uulu, Luis (Diaz), Serhat Demirtas, Sancho (Akhomach), Dante*, Vinicius Junior (Romero), Marinaccio

A good win but there was a downside as Dante missed a 2nd half penalty to miss out on his hat-trick. The last minute goal conceded was pretty annoying too tbh.

--

barcelona.png

Lineup - Soumaworo, Tomiyasu, Fofana*, Quaresma, Janybek Uulu, Luis (Serhat Demirtas), Mount, Sancho (Akhomach), Dante, Vinicius Junior (Badji), Marinaccio

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Going into this match both sides had a 100% record and with us going to the Nou Camp they were probably the favourites but we managed to turn them over thanks to a wonderful free-kick from Jadon Sancho. This really puts a marker down for the rest of the season domestically.

UEFA Champions League Group A

Lineup - Soumaworo, Tomiyasu (Casas), Fofana, Quaresma (Allain), Janybek Uulu, Luis, Mount*, Sancho, Dante, Vinicius Junior, Marinaccio (Badji)

Our winning run keeps on going and we scored 3 fantastic goals. Vinicius Junior volleyed in the opener, Dante took the ball from within his own half to score the 2nd and a Mason Mount free-kick earned us our 3rd.

--

eibar.png

Lineup - Soumaworo, Mosquera (Tomiyasu), Fofana (Allain), Quaresma, Janybek Uulu, Luis, Mount, Sancho, Dante, Vinicius Junior, Marinaccio*

Marinaccio's 3rd hat-trick of the season helped us on our way to victory here. The most a player has scored for me so far in this save was in my first season when Lionel Messi got 46 - Marinaccio already has 15!!!

--

mallorca.png

Lineup - Soumaworo, Mosquera, Fofana, Quaresma, Janybek Uulu, Luis, Mount, Sancho (Akhamach), Dante (Serhat Demirtas), Vinicius Junior (Badji*), Marinaccio

Youssouph Badji to the rescue!!!!!!

We were toiling here and I thought we were going to lose our first points of the season, especially when Vinicius Junior went off injured but his replacement, Youssouph Badji came off the bench to score a 10min hat-trick to propel us to victory.

--

betis.png

Lineup - Soumaworo, Mosquera, Fofana, Quaresma, Janybek Uulu, Luis (Diaz), Mount, Sancho (Akhomach), Dante (Serhat Demitras), Badji, Marinaccio

Pathetic.

Our 100% start to the season ends here and we were absolutely terrible. Sure we had a Jadon Sancho goal disallowed that would have put us ahead early doors but we just didnt turn up in all honesty.

--

UEFA Champions League Group A
2-0.png

Lineup
- Soumaworo, Tomiyasu, Fofana, Allain, Larios, Serhat Demirtas*, Mount (Lopez), Akhomach, Diaz, Sancho (Romero), Badji (Samu)

I mainly fielded a backup side here so it was pleasing to see us bounce back with a victory which secures a place in the knockout rounds for us.

--

SUMMARY

The high point of this month was naturally our 1-0 win away to Barcelona and although we followed that up with 2 more comfortable victories we were brought back down to earth when we lost 2-0 to Real Betis. I really didnt see that result coming as we had only conceded 2 league goals going into that match. Anyways we are still top of the table alongside Barcelona and unless someone has a small blip I think it is going to go down to the wire even this early in the season!

In the Champions League we defeated Lille twice to secure our place in the knockout stages with 2 games left to play and we have a 3pt lead over AC Milan in our group.

NOVEMBER

valencia.png

Lineup - Soumaworo, Mosquera, Fofana, Quaresma, Janybek Uulu, Luis, Mount, Sancho, Dante, Vinicius Junior, Marinaccio*

WOW!!!!

We humiliate Valencia here by putting 6 goals past them in a great team performance. Marinaccio scored yet another hat-trick which takes him up to 4 for the season (hat-tricks that is) and 18 goals overall.

--

athletic.png

Lineup - Soumaworo, Mosquera (Tomiyasu), Fofana, Quaresma, Janybek Uulu, Luis, Mount*, Sancho, Dante, Vinicius Junior (Akhomach), Marinaccio (Badji)

Athletic drew with Barcelona in their previous match and they frustrated us here for large spells while Marinaccio lost his shooting boots for once. However when we went ahead all was ok and our supersub Youssouph Badji chipped in with another goal which was pleasing.

Lineup
- Soumaworo, Tomiyasu, Fofana, Quaresma, Janybek Uulu, Luis, Serhat Demirtas, Akhomach (Romero), Dante (Cabrera), Vinicius Junior (Samu), Badji

Meh. I rested a few players for this match however Akhomach went off injured in only the 2nd minute! Milan were the better side so I am happy with the draw although Badji had a late goal disallowed for offside so we almost stole the victory.

--

gijon.png

Lineup - Meixedo, Mosquera (Casas), Fofana, Quaresma, Janybek Uulu, Cabrera, Serhat Demirtas, Sancho, Lopez (Romero), Vinicius Junior (Badji), Marinaccio

An awful performance but I am happy with the result as we had half a side out. Before the match we were rocked with injuries to Soumaworo and Dante (1 and 2 months respectively) while Luis needed a rest and Mount, Diaz and Akhomach were also injured so we were down to the bare bones a bit.

Hopefully we will have a couple of players back for our next match!

--

villarreal.png

Lineup - Meixedo, Mosquera (Casas), Fofana, Quaresma, Larios, Luis*, Mount, Romero, Diaz (Serhat Demitras), Vinicius Junior (Badji), Marinaccio

I am delighted with this result as although I welcomed a few players back I had a couple more missing! In the end we raced into a 2 goal lead in the first 10 minutes and that proved to be enough for victory.

--

SUMMARY

This was a strange month. Results wise was pretty decent and we have opened up a 5pt lead over Barcelona as they drew 2 matches and lost 5-1 to Espanyol. However we have no points advantage over Espanyol as they have 40pts alongside us and are the surprise outfit of the season so far - I will have to check their squad out!

We are currently in a bit of an injury crisis with several players out or needing a rest which doesnt help. We have a match against Basel coming up which means nothing so I will field a weakened side then which hopefully will help a bit but Soumaworo and Dante are big misses for us!

Lineup - Meixedo, Mosquera, Fofana, Quaresma, Janybek Uulu, Luis, Mount*, Sancho (Romero), Diaz (Cabrera), Vinicius Junior, Marinaccio

Always nice to beat Real Sociedad!!! When Marinaccio netted his 2nd I thought he was going to get back to back hat-tricks but it was not to be unfortunately. Mason Mount got 2 assists here and the MOM award - he has been unbelievable for me so far this season as he has 3 goals and 12 assists in his 17 games.

--

espanyol.png

Lineup - Meixedo, Mosquera, Fofana, Quaresma, Janybek Uulu, Luis, Mount, Sancho (Akhamach), Diaz (Serhat Demirtas), Vinicius Junior, Marinaccio

Espanyol seem to be the real deal!!!! They go top of the league here as they humiliate us here. We quickly went 2-0 down but when Marinaccio pulled one back I was quietly confident but then Luis got sent-off and it was game over.

They have now scored 5 past both us and Barcelona this season!

--

SUMMARY

Goals galore this month!!! In the league we smashed Zaragoza 5-2 and Real Sociedad 5-0 but then we came up against Espanyol and they turned us over 5-2 as we relinquished top spot in the table. I am fully confident that we will have enough to conquer them overall but at the minute they are pesky irritants.

In the Champions League we defeated Basel to finish off the group stage and we have been given a kind draw against FC Porto in the next round.

Angelo Marinaccio was outstanding this month as he scored 7 goals in just 3 matches and in the end of the year awards he was named as World Player of the Year and FIFA Player of the Year which is some achievement.

Finally the board have finally realised that I am spending £2m a week less on wages than what my budget is so they have released the funds and I have £90m to spend in January all of a sudden.....................

Amazing!!!!!!

We thrash Barcelona 5-2 as our amazing scoring run continues. We went 2-0 up and were pegged back on the hour mark but Marinaccio buncled one in and then Florentino Luis scored twice which really amazed me! Atletico Madrid lie in wait in the final and we havent played them yet this season.

Lineup - Soumaworo, Mosquera (Tomiyasu), Fofana, Quaresma, Hejret, Luis, Serhat Demirtas, Sancho*, Diaz (Cabrera), Vinicius Junior (Badji), Marinaccio

The first trophy of the season is won and it was won at the death as Marinaccio scored an 89th minute goal to seal the win and with that reach 30 for the season and we are not even halfway through the season yet!!!!!!

--

madrid.png

Lineup - Soumaworo, Mosquera, Fofana, Quaresma, Hejret, Cabrera, Serhat Demirtas (Lopez), Sancho, Diaz, Vinicius Junior (Romero*), Marinaccio (Badji)

I am so happy with this victory as we were 2nd best throughout yet somehow we managed to get the points thanks to a late goal from Romero. Espanyol drew so we go back to the top of the table.

Lineup - Soumaworo, Casas, Tomiyasu, Allain, Jenybek Uulu, Cabrera, Serhat Demirtas*, Romero (Nahuel), Diaz (Lopez), Badji, Samu (Gustavo)

--

Lineup - Soumaworo, Mosquera, Allain, Quaresma, Hejret (Janybek Uulu), Luis (Cabrera), Serhat Demirtas (Diaz), Sancho, Akhomach, Vinicius Junior*, Marinaccio

Lineup - Soumaworo, Mosquera, Fofana (Allain), Quaresma, Hejret (Janybek Uulu), Luis, Serhat Demirtas, Sancho*, Akhomach, Vinicius Junior (Romero), Marinaccio

Lineup
- Soumaworo, Casas, Tomiyasu, Allain, Janybek Uulu, Cabrera, Serhat Demirtas (Lopez), Akhomach*, Diaz (Nahuel), Romero, Samu (Gustavo)

Lineup - Soumaworo, Mosquera, Fofana, Quaresma, Jenybek Uulu, Luis, Serhat Demirtas, Sancho (Diaz), Akhomach, Vinicius Junior (Romero), Marinaccio (Dante*)

For over an hour we were terrible. We were a goal down and Marinaccio had missed a penalty so on 65min I made a triple substitution and it paid off immediately. Dante came off the bench to return from injury and he fired in 2 goals much to my delight.

athletic.png

Lineup
- Soumaworo, Mosquera, Fofana, Quaresma, Jenybek Uulu, Luis (Mount), Serhat Demirtas (Diaz), Sancho, Akhomach (Dante), Vinicius Junior, Marinaccio*

It is never nice to thump my beloved Athletic but thump them we did. Marinaccio hadnt scored a hat-trick for a while so got one here - thats 6 for the season lol.

--

SUMMARY

We played 9 games in a crazy month but we won them all and picked up a trophy to boot! The trophy was the Supercopa as we put 5 past Barcelona in the semis before we edged out Atletico Madrid 3-2 in the final with a last minute winner from Marinaccio. We also played 3 Copa del Rey games and after defeating lower league Salamanca and Deportivo before humiliating Athletic 5-0 to reach the semis.

As the wins keep racking up we are still top of the table and have a 4pt lead over Espanyol and a 5pt lead over Barcelona.

Regarding transfers I blew £70m on a new left back. 21y/o Jan Hejret is one of the best left backs in the game and he should excel here in Madrid. He just looks like a top, top player and strengthens the weakest point in my side. He came in from Eintracht Frankfurt.

His arrival means that Juan Larios left to join Monaco for £12.75m.

Getafe are battling against relegation and they almost took something away from the match here. Once again it was my subs that made the difference as Badji came on to score immediately and Akhomach to assist Marinaccio's goal.

Marinaccio just cant stop scoring!!!!! Another double here as we easily beat FC Porto. Sancho netted also but Dante is struggling a bit as he his recovering from his injury. Quaresma had a goal disallowed early on.

Lineup - Soumaworo, Mosquera, Fofana (Allain), Quaresma, Janybek Uulu, Luis (Serhat Demirtas), Mount, Sancho, Dante*, Vinicius Junior (Badji), Marinaccio

Anytime you score 5 goals away from home it is a good day at the office and so it is here. Dante was at the double with 2 goals, Marinaccio just had to score just like he has to breathe (if he was real lol) while Serhat and Mount got rare goals with Serhat scoring the pick of the bunch.

--

malaga.png

Lineup - Soumaworo, Mosquera, Fofana, Quaresma, Janybek Uulu (Hejret), Luis, Mount*, Sancho, Dante, Vinicius Junior (Romero), Marinaccio (Akhomach)

The goals just keep on coming and Dante seems to specialise in doubles whereas Marinaccio guns for hat-tricks although he was very poor in this match. A rare clean sheet!

Lineup
- Soumaworo, Casas, Tomiyasu, Allain, Janybek Uulu (Hejret), Luis (Cabrera), Serhat Demirtas (Lopez), Akhomach, Diaz, Romero, Badji*

Despite fielding a weakened side we still managed to outdo my main players in the first leg. A 3-0 win rounds off the month very nicely and Youssouph Badji is my level 2nd top scorer which is quite impressive given how he has hardly featured.

--

SUMMARY

This month was almost as busy as January!!! Fortunately we won all our games yet again and that puts us in the strongest possible position as we head into the business part of the season. In the league we put 5 past Cadiz and Celta Vigo while Malaga were hit for 4 and we edged out Getafe 2-1 and that has seen us move 9pts clear at the top of the table and in all honesty I think the league is over.

In the Copa del Rey we beat Valencia home and away to reach the final and Real Sociedad will be our opponents and in the Champions League we comfortably beat FC Porto 3-1 away so all is good.

We humble Barcelona yet again this season by easing to victory here. Sancho struck twice, Marinaccio and Vinicius Junior got the others and despite Barcelona also having a star studded lineup they are not in the same planet as us the way my team is playing just now. We go 12pts clear at the top.

Lineup - Soumaworo, Mosquera, Fofana, Quaresma, Janybek Uulu, Luis*, Mount, Sancho (Akhomach), Dante, Vinicius Junior, Marinaccio (Badji)

--

betis.png

Lineup - Soumaworo, Mosquera, Fofana, Quaresma, Janybek Uulu (Hejret), Luis, Mount, Sancho, Dante*, Vinicius Junior, Marinaccio (Badji)

We had all the motivation in the world going into this match as Betis beat us earlier in the season and it showed as we raced into a 5 goal lead within the first 37min. Dante got a hat-trick while Luis thundered in an effort. No goals for Marinaccio though!!!!!

--

SUMMARY

Two great wins (4-0 v Barcelona and 5-0 v Real Betis) bookended 3 patchy performances, albeit wins this month. The league title is all but ours as we are 12pts clear with 8 games to play so it is all about the Champions League!

And there in lies a big problem. It is the strongest lineup of teams in the quarter finals ever in this save. No weak links. Myself, Liverpool (who we have got), PSG, Bayern, Barcelona, Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City!!!! Now I think with the way we are playing and if my starting XI can stay fit we are still in with a **** of a chance but it wont be easy!

The youth intake was the best one in this save that I have had with several decent players coming through including a goalkeeper from Andorra (who have 3 great regens somehow) and 2 midfielders from Costa Rica and China.

I am delighted with this result as we manage to beat Liverpool and we take a slender advantage into the 2nd leg at Anfield. Lineup - Soumaworo, Mosquera, Fofana, Quaresma, Hejret, Luis (Serhat Demirtas), Mount, Sancho, Dante, Vinicius Junior (Badji), Marinaccio (Akhomach)

After 12 wins in a row in the league we suffer a defeat here thanks to a woeful 1st half performance. We were shocking for the first 45min and although we were better in the 2nd half and probably deserved a draw it was not to be.

JADON SANCHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a thrilling match in which Liverpool were far better than us but we were always just that 1 goal behind. We fell behind in the 1st minute and when Fati made it 2 they were threatening to run away with it but Dante pulled a goal back and we were level on aggregate and away goals. It was seemingly headed for extra-time but when Fati popped up with a goal in 87min we were heading out until Sancho scored with an effort from the edge of the area in stoppage time to send us through on away goals!!

Lineup - Soumaworo, Tomiyasu, Allain, Quaresma, Hejret, Luis, Serhat Demirtas, Sancho (Akhomach), Dante* (Cabrera), Vinicius Junior (Romero), Marinaccio

WE WIN THE COPA DEL REY!!!

I am very happy with this result as we were missing a few players yet we won comfortably. A Dante penalty had us in front at half-time and then Marinaccio quickly made it 2 after the break to end his goalscoring drought while in the last minute Cabrera popped up with his first goal of the season to round things off.

This final was played at Real Sociedad's ground so that makes the win even more impressive!

Once again we play Barcelona and like the other 3 times we have met this season we trample all over them and as a result we are all but in the final. Marinaccio had a goal disallowed in the 47th minute but a minute later he was gifted that goal back as Ter Stegen booted the ball off him and it went into the net. Allain headed in the 2nd and Marinaccio redirected a shot from Badji in the last minute into the bottom corner to have us in easy street.

SUMMARY

We head into the final month of the season on a high with the league title being all but secured as is a Champions League final place. We also collected the Copa del Rey during the month so confidence is high. It was all about our games in the Champions League this month tbh and after beating Liverpool 2-1 at home we went to Anfield and were heading out until Sancho scored in stoppage time to put us through on away goals. We then drew Barcelona in the semis and have a 3-0 lead to protect going into the 2nd leg.

In the league we lost to Valencia but then won our next 3 and we are 1 win away from the title if results go our way.

I wanted revenge for our defeat earlier in the season here so I am ****** off that we let a 2 goal lead slip away. Akhomach was outstanding and all 3 of his goals came from outside of the area!!! Cabrera got sent-off in stoppage time - we have had 2 red cards this season - both against Espanyol!

CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE!!!!!!!!!!

What a final!!! On the day of the game I realised that the final was to be played at our home stadium so we had that huge advantage before we even kicked off!! Marinaccio had a 3rd minute goal disallowed but he wasnt to be denied as he opened the scoring soon after. Dante added a 2nd and Vinicius Junior a 3rd before half time and it was all but over. Florentino Luis powered in a 4th shortly after the break and it was party time at the Bernabeu!

--

SUMMARY

HALA MADRID!!!!

We finish the season remarkably well and topped it off by beating Bayern Munich 4-0 at the Bernabeu to claim yet another Champions League trophy for the club and my 5th as a manager. Before that however we had to take care of Barcelona and we duly did although they did win the 2nd leg and then we had league matches to play out with the aim of getting 100pts or more and we managed to do that too despite fielding weakened sides throughout and we ended the campaign with a 4-2 win over our local rivals Atletico Madrid which made us reach 101pts.

So then there was the final and it went perfectly. We thumped Bayern Munich 4-0 in a one sided final in which we put in a terrific performance where everyone played well. It summed up our season tbh!!!!

END OF SEASON POST

What a season that was!!!! We won every trophy going, played scintillating football and took Real Madrid back to the top of European football!! When I arrived in the summer they had just finished runners up in both the league and Champions League so it comes as no surprise that I take one of the strongest sides in the world, spend over £350m and get huge amounts of success! That being said apart from £70m or so it was all spent on defensive areas!!!!

In the league we won the title by 7pts as we racked up 101pts in total. We had the best attack with 118 goals and also the best defence as we cantered to the title. We didnt have it all our own way though as we lost 3 matches including a 5-2 defeat against Espanyol who at the time went top of the table! Tbh once we beat Barcelona 1-0 in our first meeting against each other it was never really in much doubt and we did what we had to do.

We won both the Supercopa (including defeating Barcelona 5-2 in the semis) and the Copa del Rey to add another two trophies and that was the domestic treble done!

In the Champions League we were victorious as we won the final in our home stadium which made it extra special. We cruised through the group stage and easily beat FC Porto but then things got tough - real tough!!! Up next were Liverpool and after winning 2-1 at home we went into stoppage time in the 2nd leg knowing that we needed a goal to save ourselves and up popped Jadon Sancho to see us through on away goals. Barcelona were then dispatched 4-2 on aggregate and then it was the final and we trounced Bayern Munich 4-0.

This victory of course finishes off the Spanish leg of this long, long, journey. I am fluent in Spanish naturally and it is on to pastures new!

SQUAD

SQUAD.png
SQUAD2.png

Goalkeepers - I signed Bemba Soumaworo from Norwich City in the summer for £45.5m and the Spanish wonderkid did a fine job and he will be the keeper for years to come here so will be part of a lasting legacy of my time here. Meixedo played 7 matches while my B team keeper, Roberto, also got a token appearance.

Defenders - This was where I spent most of my money. My RB was Cristhian Mosquera and I paid £93m to bring him into the club and he was solid. At left back I paid £70m for Hejret in January but he struggled with injury and was disappointing in truth but my summer signing, Janybek Uulu cost a quarter of the Hejret fee and the young German defender didnt let me down. In the middle Fofana and Quaresma did great for me while Allain and Tomiyasu all got plenty of opportunities to impress and they duly did so!

Midfielders - Florentino Luis and Mason Mount were my CMs and both had standout seasons with Mount possibly being our best player this season. Luis was the more defensive of the 2 but contributed with some big goals while Mount did not get nowhere near enough goals but with 26 assists and an average rating of 7.77 I will let him off! Serhat Demirtas also got loads of game time while Cabrera didnt but impressed when he did.

On the RW Jadon Sancho was irresistible. He was world class as he scored 19 goals and assisted 29 times yet his average rating was quite poor considering he had those stats! Akhomach was his backup and he too was amazing and in only 15 starts he had 11 goals and assists although he had loads of sub appearances. On the left wing I had Vinicius Junior and he did well but should have done better however in a normal team he would have been a standout performer with 14 goals and 12 assists lol.

Now for my AMC. Dante. I picked him up for a cheap £12.25m fee and although he is a striker I fielded him at AMC as a shadow striker and even though he didnt arrive until deadline day in the summer and missed a couple of months through injury the 21y/o was amazing. 29 goals and 13 assists in just 35 starts for someone so young is testament to the hype around him and like Soumaworo, Mosquera and Hejret he should be here for a long while and be a reminder to my time here.

Another striker who mainly played in midfield was Youssouph Badji. I brought him in from Man City for £45m as my backup LW and that is where he played mostly although he did get a few games up front. He scored 15 goals overall and did very well.

Forwards - Angelo Marinaccio!!!!!! What a season the Italian had as he notched 55 goals in an incredible season. He scored 7 hat-tricks during the season and only scored 1 penalty which is just insane. He did have 1 little dry spell but his goals tally was simply incredible. Juan Pablo Romero was a backup striker and featured occasionally but Dante and Badji also played there.

My Player of the Season - Angelo Marinaccio
My Young Player of the Season - Dante
Must Do Better - Jan Hejret
Donkey of the Season - Ismael Casas

FUTURE PLANS

Well I have obviously resigned as Real Madrid manager and the Ajax job is still available so I will go in for that job but they arent in the Champions League next season so that is disappointing but I wouldnt expect to win it in my first season there anyway! What I will do is hopefully get an interview and see how much money is there to spend and will judge it accordingly.

My other option is to hope that Real Madrid appoint someone from a future destination which is a much more attractive position!!!!!!

Go for the Liverpool job when it comes up

KRIS STUART IS THE NEW LIVERPOOL MANAGER!!!!!!!!!!

DecFM you got it right lol. Jurgen Klopp was appointed as my successor at Real Madrid so that left this opening and I jumped at the chance to manage the current champions of England. They have been the team that I have feared the most in the 9 years previously so to become manager of them in such a strong position is a great opportunity.

The side is littered with world class players like Fati, Upamecano, Havertz, Reinier, Alexander-Arnold, Aarons, Heathcote (regen), and a lad who came through the youth intake when I was at Barcelona - Gerard Santamaria. Now if you thought Marinaccio at Real Madrid was good then check this boy out.............
SANTAMARIA.png

I am actually ****** off that I resigned as manager of Real Madrid the day after we won the Champions League as I didnt realise that there was a Club World Cup to play and they were in it so that was a competition that I havent won in this save before to win but hey ho in the end in the bigger picture it worked out well.

This is the Liverpool squad that I take over......

LIVER.png
POOL.png

A great squad but it needs improvements. I am annoyed with the lack of English players in the squad and I need another 3 home grown by the club players to appear from somewhere lol. The goalkeeping area needs looked at as does the RW department but other than that we are looking strong. Going forward we will match anyone (except maybe Real Madrid lol).

Ansu Fati joins the club of players that I have had in 2 teams in this save. I think Marco Brescianini is the only one who has featured in 3.

--

WHY AM I HERE?

Liverpool have won the European Cup/Champions League in no less than 6 occasions although in this save they won the Champions League in the 2 years between me winning it with Barcelona and Hamburg.

can you show us some of the best players screenshots? ]

PRE-SEASON

At the time of writing (the day of the Community Shield) I have tried to strengthen the squad but ultimately it didnt need much strengthening! I have signed 4 players for a total of £168m but 3 of those players were goalkeepers!!!!!!!! Going out were £122m worth of players with 4 of those players being goalkeepers lol!

There will be one more player to come in (a CM) but other than that we are ready to rock and roll and go for the ultimate aim - the Champions League!

--

PLAYERS OUT

Basically every keeper that I inherited was sold! Alvaro Fernandez joined PSV for £11m, Mark Travers joined RB Salzburg for £6.25m (£8m), Alisson joined Benfica for £4.7m and Nathan Trott joined Besiktas for £3m (£3.7m)!

Bennacer left to join AS Roma for £38.5m as I felt that at 31y/o he was too old for me lol and Fausto Vera wanted an new challenge so he was shipped off to Norwich for £35m. Claudio Lagos is a Chilean regen striker but I am strong enough in that position so he joined PSV for £22.5m.

That was basically it re departures.

--

PLAYERS IN

I needed a quality RW desperately so who did I go for? Jadon Sancho! I brought him back to England for £100m after he blew me away with his numbers in my season at Real Madrid. He is my most expensive signing in this save and at 29y/o he is at his peak and I expect bug things!!!!
sancho.png

Now for my 3 keepers. I needed a new first choice keeper so I brought in Yohann Michaud from Leeds United for £54m (£57m). The Mexican international looks like a top keeper and at 24y/o he should improve also.
micaud.png

The other 2 keepers were brought in because they were home grown by the club so will be used for registration reasons. To be fair Marcelo Pitaluga, who I brought in from Celtic for £11.5m, is decent enough and will be my backup while Jason Myers came in from Spurs for £2.2m.

SQUAD

With the addition of Sancho I think we have a world class squad. At CB we have 4 world class players, we have 2 magnificent RBs, CM we have world class players but need one more, Fati and Sancho on the wings with Santamaria up front? I cant complain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent work mate. When was the last time you lost a CL match over two legs??

Excellent work mate. When was the last time you lost a CL match over two legs??

Don't think I have. Won it every season I have been in it!!!

Barcelona, Real, dortmund and juventus I had super squads built and apart from Barcelona I threw £300m on each squad so that helped.

Hamburg - I just got plain lucky with the draw!

Tbh i fancy myself to get to the final with Liverpool, man utd, Chelsea, bayern and inter just because of the strength of their squads and the financial backing when I arrive at the club. The rest will be much, much harder. Looked at ajax this pre season and apart from gravenberch there wasn't much to work with

FA Community Shield
man city.png

Lineup
- Marcelo Pitaluga, Alexander-Arnold (Aarons), Upamecano*, Heathcote, Rivaldo, Fernandes, Reinier (De Maio), Sancho, Havertz (Oliveira), Fati, Santamaria

Well now - if we can turn over Man City so easily in my first game in charge then I think we will have fun this season!!!! Sancho got a debut goal while Fati and Santamaria added the other 2. Marcelo Pitaluga made an unexpected debut in goal as Michaud is away on international duty with Mexico.

chelsea.png

Lineup
- Michaud, Alexander-Arnold, Upamecano, Heathcote (Todibo), Rivaldo, Fernandes, Reinier, Sancho (Lainez), Havertz, Fati, Santamaria (Jovovic)

WTF????

Crazy. We raced into a 3 goal lead and at half-time it was game over. Then they pulled a goal back through Pablo (who I tried to get as my RW in the summer) and I still wasnt worried but Santamaria had a goal disallowed and then all of a sudden it was 3-3!!!! Jovovic restored our lead with a smart finish but they soon levelled. Lainez had us 5-4 up and then it was their turn to have a goal disallowed and finally in stoppage time we killed it off when Havertz headed in his 2nd against his old club.

Absolutely bonkers!!!!

2-1.png

Lineup - Michaud, Alexander-Arnold (Kleyton), Upamecano, Heathcote, Aarons, Fernandes (Morgan), Reinier, Sancho (Lainez), Havertz, Fati, Santamaria*

Brilliant. We were the better team throughout here but we fell behind against the run of play and for long spells it seemed that Man City were going to get quick revenge for our victory in the Community Shield however Lainez came off the bench to level things up and Santamaria struck in stoppage time to give us all 3 points.

arsenal.png

Lineup
- Michaud, Alexander-Arnold, Upamecano (Todibo), Heathcote, Aarons, Fernandes, Reinier, Sancho, Havertz (Morgan), Fati (Lainez), Santamaria*

Overall this is a decent point but to concede a last minute equaliser is a bit gutting tbh. Santamaria's 2 goals came from a penalty and a free-kick.

SUMMARY

We have started the season brilliantly in all honesty. I couldnt believe the fixture list when I seen it and if you had offered me the Community Shield and 7pts from this month I would have bitten your hand off!! The season opener was the Community Shield and we easily beat Man City 3-0 and then we were into league action. There was 10 goals in the game versus Chelsea and fortunately we got 6 of them while we came up against City again and defeated them 2-1 with a stoppage time winner however the last minute goal went against us when we drew with Arsenal. Pretty happy though.

In the Champions League we are in a group alongside AS Roma, Real Betis and Anderlecht so that shouldnt pose too many problems.

There was a bit more movement in the transfer market. I sold Carles Cuevas to Lyon for £10.25m as I thought the 21y/o lacked a bit of quality at left back and I thought I could get better. I then went out and spent £12m on Keasel Boyce from Fulham. The 18y/o looks like a decent player and is definitely one for the future but with the odd game here and there I think he will develop nicely.
BOYCE.png

I was deliberately signing English players and I did so again when I strengthened my midfield with Aidan Morgan from Celtic for £25m. He started his career with Man Utd but he has all the stats I like for a CM and I have high hopes for him.
morgan.png

SEPTEMBER

sheff utd.png

Lineup
- Michaud, Alexander-Arnold, Upamecano, Heathcote, Aarons (Boyce), Fernandes (Morgan), Reinier, Sancho, Havertz, Lainez (Jovovic), Santamaria*

Goals dont seem to be a problem for this Liverpool side but conceding them definitely is! We won 4-1 here though and Santamaria missed a late penalty to deny him his hat-trick. Boyce came off the bench to make his debut.

--

everton.png

Lineup - Michaud, Alexander-Arnold (Boyce), Upamecano, Heathcote, Aarons, Fernandes, Reinier, Sancho*, Havertz, Fati, Santamaria (Oliveira)

INCREDIBLE!!!!

We thrash Everton in the Merseyside derby and this was one of the best team performances in my career so far. Some of the goals were outstanding from individual solo goals like Sancho's 1st, powerful efforts like Fernandes' goal, great team goals like Fati's but possibly the pick of the bunch was Reinier's 2nd goal as he volleyed in first time from 25 yards!!

--

UEFA Champions League Group D
anderlecht.png

Lineup
- Michaud, Aarons, Kleyton, Todibo, Boyce, Morgan, Pinatares, Jovovic*, De Maio (Dingwall), Lainez, Oliveira

I put my faith in my backups for this match and they didnt disappoint as they cantered to a victory. Pinatares got things under way with the first, Jovovic netted twice and Lainez headed in one too. The only downside was the injury to De Maio and he will be out for around a month.

--

burnley.png

Lineup - Michaud, Aarons, Upamecano, Heathcote, Rivaldo*, Fernandes, Reinier, Sancho (Jovovic), Havertz (Pinatares), Fati, Santamaria

Jovovic came off the bench to net twice to make the scoreline reflect the performance as we should have been further ahead long before he came on. Santamaria also had one disallowed.

--

Carabao Cup 3rd Round
leeds.png

Lineup
- Michaud, Aarons, Upamecano, Heathcote, Rivaldo, Fernandes*, Reinier, Sancho, Havertz, Fati (Jovovic), Santamaria (Oliveira)

We go into the next round easily enough but Ansu Fati got injured and will be out for a few weeks which is a bit of a blow. Reinier seems to be a specialist in scoring goals from distance as he thundered in a 25 yard effort here.

--

bmouth.png

Lineup - Michaud, Aarons, Upamecano*, Heathcote, Rivaldo, Fernandes (Morgan), Reinier (Pinatares), Jovovic, Havertz, Sancho, Santamaria (Oliveira)

Jovovic scores again here as his fine run of form continues but the goal of the game was their goal in truth.

--

SUMMARY

Our strong start to the season continued this month as we won every match. In the league we put 4 past Sheffield United before we absolutely humiliated Everton in the Merseyside derby 7-0 in an astonishing performance. It really was quite something! We then had victories over Burnley and Bournemouth and all that means we are 3pts clear at the top.

We won our opening Champions League game 4-0 against Anderlecht when I put out a backup side and in the Carabao Cup we beat Leeds away to set up a mouth watering tie against Man Utd in the next round.
