Wales V Gambia

Welcome to our live interactive coverage of Ollie Emmerson's first match in charge of Wales, away at Gambia. Remember folks this game is also available for viewing on Sky Sports 3HD.
We now have the Wales line up to show you. As excpected Emmerson has started with a 442 line up.
Hennessey GK
Bale LB
J.Collins CB
D.Collins CB
Gunter RB
Ledley LM
Collison CM
Ramsey CM
Davies RM
Vokes CF
Evans CF

Wales kick off from left to right and look to mount early pressure on the Gambia defence.

5 minutes in and Wales were almost caught out as Gambia broke from a wales corner, however James Collins was there to make a strong tackle.

Not much happening here 15 minutes in, a few chances here and there with Wales looking the better team.

And it's Danny Collins! With the first goal of Emmerson's reign, 25 minutes into the game. It was a free kick whipped in from Gareth Bale and met by the head of Collins from 5 yards out. A great leap and finish left Emmerson jumping for joy.

5 minutes left of the half and Wales are dominating Gambia. Ledley has hit the post and Ramsey has had a goal dissalowed for offside. The 4th official indicates 2 minutes for stoppage time.

Half Time

Gambia kick off the 2nd half and slowly build up an attack resulting in Yady Camara missing the target by an inch.

Goooooaaaaall! Its the two brothers now as James Collins scores Wales' second goal to give them a good cushion.

We've now passed the hour mark and david Cotterill, Craig Bellamy and David Vaughan have come on for Wales as they look for more goals.

10 Minutes left here and there has been a red card. Gambia's manager has been sent to the stands after abusing the 4th official over claims for a Gambia penalty. On the pitch the game seems to have dried up and Wales are just passing it around and keeping the ball.

Its over! The referee blows his whistle and brings to an end Olli Emmerson's first game as Wales manager. He has come to Africa and seen off Gambia 2-0 with goals from James and Danny Collins. What do you think Wales fans? Email us your opinion here at SkySports.com
But from us here its goodbye and thanks for reading.

Bosnia and Herzegovina v Wales

Welcome to Sky Sports live interactive coverage of Ollie Emmerson's first competetive match in charge of Wales, away at Bosnia. Edin Dzeko misses out for Bosnia as he pulled his thigh in training yesterday and that is a major loss for Bosnia.
We have just recieved the Wales line up and here it is.

Hennessey GK
Bale LB
J.Collins CB
D.Collins CB
Ricketts RB
Pearson LM
Ramsey CM
Collison CM
Davies RM
Church CF
Vokes CF

A young Pearson makes his Wales debut with no Bellamy or Ledley in the starting line up. Emmerson starts with the 442 formation he used against Gambia.

Wales kick off from right to left with Collison linking up with Davies as they look to mount early pressure.

10 minutes in and Pjanic has hit the bar for Bosnia from a thundering shot from 30 yards out.

Its a goal! And it's gone to Wales! Sam Vokes pounced after a backpass and rounded Begovic before placing the ball into the net. 20 minutes in and Wales are ahead. A dream start to their qualifying campaign.

30 minutes gone and Wales are finding it hard against a strong Bosnia side. But their defence is staying strong and Wayne Hennessey has made some good saves.

Goal to Wales! Aaron Ramsey with a beautiful strike into the top corner from 25 yards out. Collison brought two men to him and the layed it off to Ramsey who did the rest. 2-0 to Wales!

Half time

Bosnia kick off the second half with two substitutes coming on up front, and one of them is Edin Dzeko. Bosnia take the risk of playing him while he is injured, however they need goals.

Its surely all over now! Wales are 3-0 up and it's Jack collison with the strike! Wales won a free kick on the edge of the box after Pearson was fouled. It was nudged across to Collison who smashed the shot in. Just 5 minutes into the second half and surely now Wales will be going home with the three points.

Penalty to Bosnia! A handball by Sam Ricketts. It was a corner swung in and headed on by Dzeko. Ricketts could not do much about it but it had to be given. Ricketts was not issued a card.

Dzeko misses! He slips as he takes it and blazes the ball wide. He has had to go off as a result of hurting his thigh when slipping. Wales breath a sigh of relief.

10 minutes left now and it's still 3-0 to Wales. They have bought on Joe Ledley, Craig Bellamy and David Edwards just to freshen things up. Nothing much happening, Wales seem fine with passing the ball around whilst Bosnia have given up all hope.

Full time

And it's an opening win for Wales' against the odds they have come and beaten Bosnia and Herzegovina by 3 goals to nil with goals from Sam Vokes, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Collison. Bosnia had their chances, they hit the bar in the first half and missed a penalty in the second.

Post match interview.

"Ollie, how do you think your team performed tonight?"
"I thought we played fantastic, the team worked hard for each other and all gave 110%."

"If you had to pick 1 positive from this game, what would it be?"
"I would definetly say the team's passing. The team kept the ball for long periods and played great balls in behind their defence."

"You are now top of the group after 1 game. How do you think you will fare against Sweden on saturday?"
"I think we have the talent to win yes."

"Before we go what is your message to the fans?"
"Thanks for coming and hopefully we can get another win on saturday."

"Thank you Ollie."

So Wales fans what do you think of your teams performance? Email us @www.skysports.com/Wales and we will read some out on Sky Sports news.

From us goodbye.

Wales v Sweden

Welcome to our live interactive coverage of Wales v Sweden. Wales started their qualifying campaign in style with a comfortable 3-0 win away v Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday.

Wales name an unchanged line up from the team that was so succesfull on Wednesday. Sweden start with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Rosenborg up front. Will the Welsh defence be able to cope with those two?

Wales kick off against Sweden and were priced at 2/1 with Skybet before the match. Sweden are favourites at 8/11 with the draw at 5/1.

5 minutes in and it's a goal to Sweden! Sebastian Larsson of Birmingham City has got the goal. It was Kim Kallstrom who played the ball over the top of the Wales defence and left it for Larsson to place the ball past Wayne Hennessey. 1-0 to Sweden.

25 Minutes in now and Sweden are still ahead. The game has gone slightly quiet at the moment with few chances. The closest any team has come was from a Gareth Bale shot that just fizzed wide.

Goal to Wales! Young Aaron Ramsey scores his second in two games and draws Wales level with a curled shot into the corner from the edge of the box. Wales are level as the referee blows his whistle and ends the first half.

Half time

Sweden get the second half going now drawing against Wales. It was a tight first half with neither team creating any clear cut chances.

Wales are 2-1 up! Simon Davies with the tap in after some creative work from Pearson which saw the Sweden defence baffled. Wales now have the momentum.

15 minutes left and Wales really need a goal to seal the game. Sweden are starting to put pressure on Wales and the Welsh defence are looking uncomfortable. However Wayne Hennessey is having an excellent game and keeping Sweden out.

It's 3-1 and Wales have surely won it now! Sam Vokes seals it with a comfortable finish from 10 yards out. But Sweden have scored again! It's Rosenborg who has scored it from quick passing and movement up the pitch and now Wales are going to face 3 minutes of back's against the wall defending.

Full time.
Wales 3-2 Sweden

Post match interview

"Ollie, a 3-2 win against a team ranked 37 places above you in the world rankings how does it feel?"
"Fantastic, for the team to have so much success so soon is brilliant."

"Two wins out of two against arguably the top two teams in the group, how does it stand you for the rest of the campaign?"
"It puts us top of the group again, which is good. However we still have six more tough matches to play."

"Can you confirm that this squad will be the squad for next months game against qualifier in Armenia?"
"Well this squad has done well, but we may have injuries or somebody may come into form and will deserve a call up."

"Are rumors true about a rift between yourself and Brian Flynn?"
"Of course not, me and Brian have a good relationship."

"Thank you Ollie."

So Wales fans what do you think, can Emmerson take you to the Euro's?" Email us @skysports.com/Wales

But from us here goodnight.

WTF, You first say he is out and then he takes a penalty?

Emmerson makes changes!

We have just recieved the Wales line up for tonight's game and Ollie Emmerson makes 2 changes from the team that beat Sweden 3-2 that night in Wales.

Young Marcus Pearson comes out of the side and is replaced by more experienced Joe Ledley.

Robbie Earnshaw will make his first Wales start for 7 months tonight. He partners Sam Vokes up front after some impressive performances in training.

Here is the Wales line up

Hennessey GK
Bale LB
J.Collins CB
D.Collins CB
Ricketts RB
Ledley LM
Ramsey CM
Collison CM
Davies RM
Vokes CF
Earnshaw CF

Wales are priced at 1/2 with Skybet to win tonight whilst Armenia are 5/1 with the draw at 3/1.

Wales captain Gareth Bale wins the toss and Wales kick off.

8mins: Goal! Wales are ahead inside ten minutes and it's Robbie Earnshaw. Its was some good play from Joe Ledley who skipped past his man and put a cross in which was knocked down from Vokes into Earnshaw who slotted the ball past the keeper.
1-0 to Wales.

20 mins: Wales look the better team and Armenia are showing no real danger when in attack. Solid start for the Welsh.

33 mins: Goal! Its another for Wales and another for Robbie Earnshaw. He picked up the ball after a pass from Jack Collison and turned the defender before blasting the ball into the net. Just after Armenia had began to look a better side and were starting to create things.
2-0 to Wales

40 mins: Goal! It's Gareth Bale with a sublime free kick, which leaves Armenia little hope for the rest of this game. It was Simon Davies who won the free kick, cutting in from the right hand side of the area only to be brought down. Bale stepped up to take the kick and curled it over the wall and into the top right hand corner.
3-0 to Wales

Half time

53 mins: Were well into the second half now and Wales are dominating Armenia. However hard they try though they can't seem to get the 4th.

61 mins: Goal! It's four for Wales and a hat trick for Earnshaw. A free header from a corner was how it came. A corner whipped in from Aaron Ramsey from which Earnshaw left his marker and pounced for the hat trick.
4-0 to Wales

70 mins: Wales bring on David Vaughan and Craig Bellamy as they run the game down. They still look threatening however the game does not have the same intensity as it did in the first half.

77 mins: Jack Collison with screamer! 5-0 to Wales and it was a peach of a goal. A 30 yard strike from the youngster who has had a great game.
5-0 to Wales

89 mins: The referee indicates 3 minutes of stoppage time to end the game.

92 mins: Goal! Earnshaw has 4 with another header from a Davies free kick. Looped in and a great header who makes it 22 goals for Wales.
6-0 to Wales

Full time

Great win for Wales, 6-0 away against Armenia with 4 goals from returning hero Robbie Earnshaw and two peaches from Collison and Bale.

Post match interview.

"Ollie, a great performance and a six nil win for your team, how does it feel?"
"Fantastic, a great performance from the team and credit also goes to the defence who kept it tight."

"Robbie Earnshaw hit 4 today, how good was he in training?"
"Oh, he was fantastic all week and showed model behaviour towards the younger lads. And his performance showed why I chose him."

"This puts you 4 points clear at the top of the group, do you think you will qualify?"
"We are doing well and will have a chance if we keep to this level of play."

"Thank you Ollie."

Well that's it from us tonight. Don't forget to email us @www.SkySports.com Wales fans and tell us what you think of Robbie Earnshaw's performance.
