Why does everyone keep mentioning Forlan, In my opinion he isnt that good, how long did it take for him to score for Man Utd?

Carragher is not in the top 50 In my opinion. Mascherano is just a tough tackler with little skill and reina makes too many mistakes

Raul is the alltime leading champions league scorer. He is a true legend, and he is still scoring goals for Real Madrid.
Okay this may be me just being a bias Liverpool fan, but how could you say that about 3 of the premier leagues top players.. I mean look at 36 - 50 they are not the best players in the world. It looks like for the last 15 or so you've just looked at all the best clubs in the world and chosen their 2nd or 3rd best of each position..

Forlan, on current form, is arguably one of the best strikers in the world atm!
Your point about him scoring for Utd isn't really relevant to him being one of the world's best players currently, really. He wasn't great in the Prem, I totally agree... But then again, look at Shevchenko, Veron, etc... All of whom had massive worldwide reputations before coming to the Premier League, it's a tough league...
So maybe some of the Prem-based players should be higher... but Forlan is definately NOT ****

Wait a minute... Forlan scored 35 goals last season, winning his 2nd European Golden Boot. Now surely all of those 35 goals weren't against 'sub-standard' defences were they? I remember that he scored 2 against Barca and another against Real, they're not what I'd called 'sub-standard'!

Yes but that was 1 season. Raul has done it for a number of seasons. If Sir Alex doesn't rate someone, lets face it, he aint going to be good. He is only a few years younger than Raul and hasn't one a quarter of the trophies Raul has!!
