They weren't actual tactics I linked, just theories on how to create a tactic.

Should suit Villarreal and it seems highly rated. :)
 
Went a bit nuts and bought Hazard for £14.5m over 48 months. But he suits La Liga and Villarreal perfectly. Ideal replacement for Cani. But now I have the problem of only having 20 players in my squad. :(

And 3 assists and a goal in his first 3 appearances is already proving worth the outlay. :)

10 goals scored in 3 games, and 5 in my first EL game away at Trabzonspor.

Is there a more impressive club in the world than Villarreal? There are less than 100,000 people currently living in Villarreal and yet they're going to be watching CL football yet again next season.

It's actually just over 50,000 people living there unless my stats are wrong, even more amazing!

Is it just me that's noticed an uncanny resemblance between Mateo Musacchio and Andy Sugden? :P

Still though, yeah the point stands it's incredible. Shows just what sensible planning and an eye for talent can do for a club!
 
May i recommend taking advantage of the clubs partnership with river plate i signed lamela and pereyra from them for relatively cheap and lamela in particular looks like he can replace riquelme who left some years ago leaving the creative midfield role to be filled properly. I recently started one with Villarreal being a fan of both them and barcelona and have only played 3 or 4 friendlies so far but lamela is perfect for them he plays the AM role in my 4-2-3-1 and his ball throughs were eye catching but one thing i have found to be difficult going a la liga team outside real and barca is beating the big two. i have only once managed to achieve this beating barcelona 2-1 with athletic bilbao but the rest of the time i just cant seem to get a result against them despite beating just about every other team. I came third with bilbao that season beating villarreal and valencia etc so can anyone suggest a succesful way to play against Real madrid and barcelona any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks for the tips on the players, will check them out later. It's quite a good plan to buy young South Americans for cheap and bringing them through as citizens. Will probably edit that in.

Haven't played Madrid or Barca yet, but with United I just played 4-5-1 away from home and stuck with 4-4-2 and I'm undefeated versus them. :)
 
Thanks joel i have played the opening fixtures of my season lamela has been very effective in the league so far i beat sporting gijon 4-2 and osasuna 3-2. My defence is a problem but if i can score more than i let in im happy to be involved in high scoring games i also managed to beat bayern leverkusen 2-0 at el madrigal in my opening europa league group game do you believe winning this competition is realistic in first season with the club?
 
Great guide. I have always enjoyed creating tactics, but now I am trying to recreate some tactics of my own. I have created the tactic my school team used it's basically a 4-2-2-2 and we lost only 4 times in my 5 years at the school. I think I have got it down to a tee. I might try and do the excellent tactic used by Napoli this season, and Inters treble winning tactic.
 
You actually made me play with villeareal........i few players such as neilson, altidore, and then buying willan from shaktar...trained to play as a striker and comfortable on al wings ...running with the ball...won the spanish cup and euro cup in first season ...but finished 4th on goal difference loosing to barcelona..madrid.....and athletico madrid.........

second season saw me struggle....as i sold angel ....altidore...and gola keepr oliva..but signed nekouamn from osasuna.......struggled that season,as took my money..........didnt make to championsleague...lost in qualifiers.....and lost super cup t barca...won the spanish super cup against real.......and finsih 10th that season............i quit ...as i felt i have taken the club as far as i cud with no funds
