Introduction

Hello my name is Sam Irvine. I'm born on the 5th of March 1994 in Andover.
I really love football, but I'm very bad at it so I started managing the youth teams of the local club Andover FC.

Andover FC had financial problems and the club was dissolved in July 2011 due to continuing financial constraints. From 2011 until 2013 I studied in Southampton. During my time as a student I went nearly everyday to Staplewood, the training ground and youth stadium of Southampton. I was really fascinated about the youth academy and the quality of the youth players. I would love to manage a youth team of Southampton, but of course they wouldn't hire a 19 year old student without any coaching badges.

In 2013 I received an invite. It was an invite to visit the newly-formed football club in Andover named Andover Town FC. It was not only an invite to visit the club, it was also an invite to manage the U18's. Of course I didn't reject that offer and after one season they promoted me to Head Coach of the club.

Today it's the July the 8th 2014 and I signed my first contract as a manager.
I'm now the manager of Andover Town FC!

Club introduction

Andover Town is a football club from Andover who play in the English Wessex League Premier Division. That's one of the 14 leagues that form the County Leagues, the 9th tier of English football.

League

At the start of the 2014-2015 season we play in the Wessex Premier Divison.
We are predicted to finish 19th so our main goal this season will be to stay out of the relegation zone.

Philosophy

I want to bring this club to glory, but therefore I need a good philosophy.

In the first season I will sign a lot of players so we have a good squad to stay in the league.

But the main thing what I want to do is something I picked up in Southampton:
Producing good youth and giving them chances in the first team.
The first few seasons it will be difficult, but after a few seasons the youngsters will be ready for the first team and then I want to build my team around youngsters produced by the academy.

- Not relegate
- Doing our best in the FA Vase
- Hoping for a good youth intake

Cole Hinchcliff will be rotated and 38 year old Gazzard is only signed because he only wanted to sign a player/fitness coach deal.

I don't have one, still looking for decent defensive midfielders.
Paul Gazzard and 3 central midfielders are training to play in this position.

With 6 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses we started our campaign very well!
We dominated in most matches even matches were we lost we created more chances and had more possession so I am a very happy manager!

These are very good results and even if we didn't win we played very attacking with a lot of possession.
