I have used a variation of this tactic since fm 10 with great success so I felt it was time to share with others.
I have used this tactic with two teams of different ability (Bournemouth and Manchester United) to make sure the tactic is solid and works.
First season used with Bournemouth: 12th, semi-finals of FA Cup.
First season with Manchester United: 1st, winner of League Cup
The tactic is a 4-2-2-2 formation based on the principle of quick counter attacking attractive football.
Your players will play at a very high tempo and close down the opposition quickly with a counter attacking mentality.

The training levels main focus is balanced and the intensity level is average.
As for opposition instructions, I leave them to my assistant manager.
