O'Neill resigns

MartinO%27NeillPA0708_450x300.jpg

Sadness struck the Midlands as former Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill resigned from his post at the club early in the afternoon on July 1st. The Villa boss stood down citing personal reasons keeping him out of the game. He has said to have been really sad that he has had to leave and the frontrunners for the job are currently, Roy Hodgson and Steve McClaren. A few fans have already jumped on the conspiracy wagon claiming O'Neill really left due to lack of funds and Randy told Mr. O'Neill to say it was personal reasons, many rumours have been swirling around but surely we will not know the truth until the new manager is announced.

Joke?

The Aston Villa fans were left in utter disbelief last night when rookie-manager Daniel Craythorne, born and raised in Lichfield was appointed new manager of the club he has supported for the whole of his life, Aston Villa. Rander Lerner said "He is a very qualified coach and is a strong mental person and that's what I and lots of other people look for in a manager, mental toughness." Daniel Craythorne was almost laughed at as he was in the middle of his press-conference but the new-man covered his frustration and anger with a cheeky smile. Daniel Craythorne will start training with the Villa squad on Monday in preperation for they're pre-season tour of Scotland.

Villa splash out!

sissoko.jpg

Newly appointed Aston Villa manager Daniel Craythorne today made his first signing, signing Toulouse FC's Moussa Sissoko, the French midfielder was valued at around £5,000,000 pounds and was high on the ranks of a lot of clubs but Mr. Craythorne was the first to tap up the Frenchman. Daniel Craythorne has secured the four-year-deal worth £47,500 grand a week making him the third highest paid player in the Aston Villa squad. The fee for the transfer was £5,000,000 million up front and a further £15,000,000 milllion over the next four years throughout his contract.

Craythorne gets his man!

roberto-soldado-getafe.jpg

Getafe's Roberto Soldado has just secured a four-year-deal worth £40,000 grand a week taking him to Daniel Craythorne's Aston Villa outfit. He will join Moussa Sissoko as Daniels first signings. Soldado is said to have cost the club £15million overall, £10 million upfront and £5million over the course of the next year.

"A good tour from the boys overall, getting us all ready in shape for this season. Moussa Sissoko and Roberto Soldado had fit in perfectly to the style of play we do, and Fabian Delph might well be going out the door, if so, in my opinion someone will have to walk back through that door perhaps another central midfield player or something." - Daniel Craythorne.

Swap Deal!

images

Earlier today the deal was secured, Lille's 'wonder-kid' transferred from Lille to Aston Villa with £2,000,000 and Fabian Delph going in the opposite direction. Eden Hazard was delighted to be able to play for such a magnificant club. Delph was struggling at the club and after a younger, more expensive, Moussa Sissoko was inducted into the club, he decided it was his time to leave. Mr. Craythorne, being a bargainer, got a fantastic deal for Delph, slapping two million in and signing the wonderkid Hazard.

The Spending Continues!

Breaking News, as Evertons Leon Osman signs a 3-year-deal worth £33,500 pound's a week to play for Daniel Craythorne's Aston Villa. The deal was worth, £2,5million upfront and the other £7,5million over the next four years, Daniel Craythorne has said this will be the last signing this summer and perhaps the last of the season. In an interview Leon Osman claimed he was sad to leave Everton but looks forward to his new career at Villa Park, the attacking midfield player has been said to be a gamble for fitness and consistancy but Mr. Craythorne has backed Leon fully. Osman is ineligable for Villa's next game against Hearts on the 27th but will be able to feature on Sunday against Sunderland if picked.

"Our club captain was again sent off for two bookable offences and that left us wobbling in the mid 30 minutes. We didn't really know where to go from there and Richard Dunne sent us in the right direction with a bullet header making it 1 - 0 but inevitably they were able to use they're one man advantage and make it 1 - 1 but if there was no red-card I think we would have took more than one point from the game." - Daniel Craythorne.

"Honestly, this isn't funny anymore. We completely outplayed Stoke and just couldn't find the back of the net. Bags of chances, just no-one to finish them off Roberto Soldado was in poor form and Eden Hazard missed some absoloute sitters. Ricardo Fuller finished two lucky breaks and I'm not even lieing. We had 60% of the possession and 17 shots, 8 being on target to there 6 shots with 3 on target. It was madness." - Daniel Craythorne.

Bye-Bye Bouma!

Former Aston Villa defender Wilfred Bouma has today been offloaded to french giants Lyon for a bargain price of £1.9million. The injury-tolled left back was let go by manager Daniel Craythorne claiming Bouma had, had his day in the Premier League and felt it was only fair to let him move on. Daniel also said that Lyon were trying to tempt influential central back Carlos Cuellar away from Villa Park and Cuellar was buying it but Daniel has offered Carlos a new contract worth ....

"What a fantastic showing from the lads! Three points against a huge team, if not the biggest in the world! James Collins rifled one home from a corner within the first ten minutes shocking the crowd, what didn't shock the crowd is the manor in which Liverpool replied through Fernando Torres. However, on 60 minutes the ball fell at the feet of Roberto Soldado who casually slotted in after 429 minutes without a goal! Well done boys!" - Daniel Craythorne.

Stewart Downing back to full training!

WD3721647@VILLA-KIT-2-EB-15.jpg

Aston Villa winger Stewart Downing has suffered a frustrating time here at Villa Park, not even making his debut yet but after making a full recovery the flying left-footed winger should be back to his usual tantilizing form. Daniel Craythorne has yet to be able to use Stewart due to injuries and said 'He's relishing the chance to see Stewart in action for Villa'. It wont be long before we see Downing back to his full best under Daniel Craythorne.

Hazard off the mark!

edenhazard_304824.jpg

Aston Villa midfielder Eden Hazard got off the mark for Belgium as Belgium thrashed Turkey 3 - 0 in World Cup Qualifying Group 5. The 18-year-old has already achieved a great deal so early in his career and is already a marquee player for Belgium but is finding it hard fitting in, in England. However, as soon as he finally slots into the English game, Hazard will be deadly for opposition defences. The young Belgian then went on to score another goal in the closing stages in the 3 - 1 victory against Estonia.
