In fairness, 165million views more with a rental fee of $2.99 would be a good sales practice for Youtube. But I personally, like most, wouldn't pay a little fee like that to watch a 3-minute video of someone I cannot stand.

In fairness, I doubt 16 people would pay that rental fee to watch the video.

16 people may not, but others who haven't seen it, or are just rolled over by the amount of hype it gets over the Internet would. The people behind Youtube itself saw the video, looked at how insanely popular it is, and tried to cash in on it. Nothing wrong with that. There are hundreds of thousands of people that would pay that rental fee who will want to see it. They may not even know another place than Youtube to watch it where it doesn't have a rental fee.
