Third season syndrome

Has anyone else had the problem that a couple of months into your third season, your team stops playing well? I've had it with Man United and now I'm having it with Bayern. In both cases I've had tactics that have won me leagues in the season before but around October/November the other teams seem to figure us out and we can't get a look in. Anybody else had this and found a way to stop it happening?

Not really. I get the occasional slump in form every season but I think that's more down to me heaping too much praise on the players and them getting complacent; it almost cost me promotion last season until I started yelling at them again.

My team goes through an awful patch around Feb > April every year.
