Hey guys, I just worked this out and have a game as FC United of Manchester up and running without any editor data files.
Some of you will know this already but some of you probably won't.
Ok so the team has to be the division directly below the bottom playable division. So in England, Regional Premier Divisions as they are just below the skrill N/S. You then enter the game and holiday for a year (use a holiday manager, and create an actual manager later to take control of your team)
Holiday to the 23rd June for England, I don't know the other country reset dates. save your game and advance to the 24th (past midnight), check the season overview page and see if your team got promoted. If they did, retire your holiday manager and create a new manager to take over that team and there you have it.
Sorry if that's not very clear, it's early here. So if you want to play as a team in the Regional Premier Divisions, this is the way to do it.
