He's doing a BTEC National Diploma, which is a college course, and an alternative of A-Level. It's purely coursework based, with no exams.

nd in it for practitioners
b tec national diploma

software design
website design
systems analysis
networking
.net computer programming
and in our second year we get to choose our specialised subject and also get put on a placement with an it company of which i am told (by the tutor) that 60% of the students get offered jobs. A very highly regarded qualification and equivelant to 3 a-levels so if i chose i could then go on to university to study computer science and become a computer programmer. I would love to learn c+ and c++ language but that is something for the future.

Exactly the one I did, except I had 18 modules (9 per year).

And I'm studying Computer Science now at Nottingham. :) It's a good course.

I enjoyed it, wasn't enough practical work really though, but that's what I went to university for. I learnt a lot though about networking, the fundamentals of software, basic programming and stuff.

sounds good :) if thats what you want to do then best of luck....beats cutting dandruffy hair

It is something i really want to do and i am sure i will be good at it mate....
