Chelsea’s latest verbal offer for Moises Caicedo was £70m guaranteed and it’s understood £5m in add-ons was discussed. It’s been indicated this won’t be accepted, albeit the offer could yet provide a basic framework for a deal.

Caicedo camp will now insist on a move reiterating Brighton must keep their word when he signed a new deal and let him leave for what they consider to be a reasonable bid. A total package of £80m is viewed as more than fair by sources close to Caicedo and #CFC not far off this

Sources close to the player also admit Caicedo feels disrespected, and that he believes he should be sold for what is a club record fee. This point will be reiterated directly to Brighton today.

Understand Al Ahli submitted first bid for Riyad Mahrez on Monday night. £18m plus £5m add ons proposal has been rejected by Manchester City.
City asked for £30m as correct fee to seal the deal. Al Ahli, increasingly confident to get it done soon.
