I presume that's because nobody will pick up the ridiculous contract Utd put him on. Because if INEOS and the manager genuinely believe that, then it's just another sign of it being more of the same.

He's one of many that shouldn't be at the club going into next season.

To be fair to INEOS on that score, those inherited contracts are going to be a real issue moving players out this summer along with the fee. And then there's the knock-on as regards incomings.

Utd could do with what, another 5/6 or so at least who are currently first team regulars moving out. Not sure that's at all attainable though giving their circumstances.
