Manchester United have been working on this deal for quite some time with club technical director Jason Wilcox playing a crucial role, all part of a plan from INEOS to bring in new young talent from different markets. If successful, León will then go down as a Homegrown Player.

Manchester United reach verbal agreement to sign 17 year old Paraguayan left back Diego León from Cerro Porteno, here we go!

Initial fee will be $4m plus $1m easy add-ons and over $3.5m based on player’s/team future performances.Diego León will arrive in July 2025.

Understand Man United will try to plan Diego León’s trip to Manchester in order to visit Carrington/Old Trafford ahead of formal move in July.León will only be able to play for Manchester United from summer 2025, never been any other option as he’s still 17 now.
