Very bad news for Spurs and England (Good news for Palacios), hope hes back soon.

The 23-year-old missed Saturday's win over Blackburn with the ankle problem and scans have confirmed the classy midfielder requires surgery on the injury

The surgery is set to sideline Huddlstone for up to three months meaning he will not be back until February at the earliest.

A club statement read: "Following consultation with several independent ankle specialists, it has been determined that Tom Huddlestone will undergo surgery on his right ankle.
"The procedure is likely to rule the England international out of action for around three months."

Very bad news for Spurs but not for England as for some reason Capello dosen't like Huddlestone. Im glad he will miss the game against us because he is a very good footballer and could stop Essien. Spurs do have alot of decent players though like Palacios and Jenas to cover for him.

Bad News for Tottenham fans as he is the holding player in the team that holds them together. I dont think Palacios or Sandro are good enough for that exact job

Maybe Capello already knew about this hence his non-selection for the France game. Anyway, massive loss for Spurs.

Yer i meant to put just bad news because he still provides quality backup. But we havent got a game for about 4 months after France so don't know what I'm on about haha, ill edit.

very bad news for spurs fans, he's key in my Spurs save :D

i wasen't slating you mate lol honest, he is a big miss for England your right he should be in the squad.

Sandro = Still settling in
Palacios = Not in form
Jenas = ****

Centre midfield's gonna be a bit dodgy now imo

Huddlestone has been arguably our most important player this season. If you compare results with him, and those without him, you begin to understand just how under-valued he is by most.

Gutted about this injury. It's effectively ruled him out for the season, unless he's back early. Palacios is in a slump and Sandro is extremely unpredictable and often gives away possession.

I would go with Jenas in his place, though none of these three have Tommy's passing ability and vision.

If I wasn't already sure we'd finish outside of the top four, then this confirms it.

big blow for spurs, class player who should be in the england side ahead of barry. Questionable as to whether Spurs can recover from this
