Here is a challenge for you.
Start in the Vanarama National league as a Sunday league footballer with National B licence.
The catch is that no player can earn more than you. (It could take a while to sell them so the players who earn more at the start of the game must go to the u21 until sold.)
I tried it with Grimsby and got them promoted via playoffs the first season. I had to let a few players go who earned more than me. I was on a 800 p/w contract.
But once i got to the League 2 things started to get a bit more interesting, I got a new contract worth 1k p/w. I managed to stay clear of relegation by 1 point the firsts season in League 2 but got sacked around Christmas in the following year on a 1,2k p/w contract.
