Total football tactics discussion?

Probably not the best place to ask this but figured i'd try here first as its most likely where most of the tactic creating geniuses go to when they log on this forum.

I saw these 2 threads and they made me wonder if i am getting the best out of some of my players.

I used to use the old 2-3-2-2-1 back in fm13 and it used to destroy teams. With the way the ME is currently i've already found that the best form of defence is just to attack (Although that would apply to any tactic imo).

At present i have 2 superb 18 year old regen wing backs i've ended up playing as FB's as i dont think i am maximising the damage/potential of these players and havent come across a tactic so far, that will play to their strengths.

Personally i have never ever tried to create a tactic, simply because i dont have the patience and would'nt have a clue wtf to do. Not that i couldn't learn i expect. But wondered if any of the legends on here or the guys who had made solid tactics, had ever considered trying to replicate a tactic of this style?

You'll find most of the tactics are on several site, so you're usual asking hte same guys with different log ins, there are a couple of total football versions this year, but nohting consistant dsue to the ME at the min.

And you've not really asked anything, most people are at work.. seen these made tactics, has any tried to make them, Yeah that guy.

plus the guys who create tactics usually have their own idea's, styles, and philosophies and tend not to recreate tactics from yesteryear versions of the game, unless bringing their own tactic back for a new release.
 
I'll have to give these all a try when i get to pre-season. I tend to play tactics that suit the players i have so ive ended up swapping a couple of times times this season which isn't really ideal but i couldnt find one that felt right with the players i had at my disposal.

I used to play Jassars Midfield Maestro Home and away versions but my 2nd season started to be a struggle as i had purchased too many new players so i ended up trying to find something more suitable. I still use the MM away tactic when im trying to protect a lead but i couldn't really find anything with a decent defence that i could use as my main starting tactic for when i need to attack/get goals etc.

As i have 2 very very good young Wing backs i've now settled on My best tactic for FM2014 by calamity as its a lot close to what i'm looking for and still has a pretty solid defence.

P.S. search bar and google were my 1st ports of call :)

also...thanks for the response. I'll have a nosey at those links and if not what im looking for, guess ill have to look into making my own *gulp*
 
There are some under rated tactics on steam as well. Usually missed to lack of community boards on there really, but some decent templates and ideas knocking about.
 
Oh, never even thought to look on there. Generally only checked here, SI forums and FM scout as a rule. Seems my horizons may have just expanded !
 
Maybe i'll just look making my own i think, that or just tweaking someone else's tactic to start with. Calamity would you be offended sir if i attempted to do a tweak of yours? ie this one

Thats all i do, Mainly take these as a base template, tweak to the tempo, team and try them out. The are some rules/playing style i always amend a tactic to have, Line hugging FBs and Byline charging for example.. :)
 
Tbh i tweak tactics all the time. I find one i like the look of on here, play it. Not going so great in a match or im not happy with 3-0 or 1-0 for example i "tinker" till i get the desired result (ie a goal).

There are some tweaks i tend to make lots mid match as well but generally its to the team instructions such as messing about with the tempo, passing styles or D-line etc
 
I have a tactic that works pretty well but I really need to test it with more teams..
It's a tactic that based on control and really good attacking football.
I destroyed teams in my level away 4-0.

This is the closest I could get. The ME just won't let me get any better to TF than this. The Libero won't work in a 4 man defence :(

I tried to get a diamond formation working too and came up with this crazy looking thing...
