The Breakdown:
Start of season expectations:
Continental qualification through league finish - £12M Tranfers, £1M Wages p/w
Title challenge - £15M Tranfers, £1.1M Wages p/w
Winner - £16.25M Transfers, £1.2M Wages p/w
Here i would usually select the option 'Continental qualification through league finish', because it gives you a reasonable ammount of cash for transfers and the same with wages. But it is entirely up to you, the other two options are acheivable so it depends on preference.
Backroom Staff:
Assistant Manager - Kevin Bond: Personally i think he is too average for a high calibre team such as Spurs, so i usually offer him mutual termination. A great replacement is Michael Henke.
1st Team Coach - Joe Jordan: I would keep hold of him as a 1st Team Coach as he has some decent stats, make sure he is assigned Ball Control as he is 4 Stars.
Coaches - Tim Sherwood, Jamie Redknapp, Les Ferdinand, Clive Allen: Offer mutual termination to all of these, none of them stand out what so ever and you can get in plently of top notch replacements. I usually bring in John Versleeuwen, Marco Rota, Mike Rigg, David Bechkoura, Doctor Khumalo.
Gk Coaches - Pat Jennings, Tony Parks. I offer mutual termination to one of these, its up to you who you decide to let go. Then replace him with Harald Schumacher.
Fitness Coaches - You do not start with any fitness coaches, i recommend signing Omar Feitosa who is a very good fitness coach.
Youth Coaches - Alex Inglethorpe, John McDermott, Chris Ramsey, Perry Suckling. Keep all of these as they are pretty decent, but make sure that you promote Alex Inglethorpe to a normal Coach as he is quality.
Physios - Aaron Harris, Geoff Scott, Andrew McKenzie, Danny Murphy, Nathan Gardner. Offer mutual termination to all of these, terrible and are not cut out for the job, i would sign Derek Wright and Altamiro Bottino.
Scouts - Mick Brown, Ian Broomfield. Keep both as they are fine. Some good scouts are Rudi Wojtowicz, Dave Fallows, Renatinho, Ralph Nkomo, Soren Lerby, Hans-Martin Kleitsch, Gilmar Francisco, Alberto de la Torre, Oliver Bierhoff and Faustino Asprilla.
Ins 'n' Outs!
Outs - Kevin Bond, Tim Sherwood, Les Ferdinand, Jamie Redknapp, Clive Allen, Tony Parks, Aaron Harris, Geoff Scott, Andrew McKenzie, Danny Murphy, Nathan Gardner.

Remember: Promote Alex Inglethorpe from Youth Coach, to Coach.
Players
Goalkeepers
Heurelho Gomes - You love him or you hate him, i've kept hold of him and he is pretty consistant but you can always sell him and buy a better first choice.
Individual Training Focus - Composure
Carlo Cudicini - A very good back-up goal keeper but is getting on a bit, so i usually let his contract run out.
Individual Training Focus - Composure
Stipe Pletikosa - On loan from Spartak Moscow, nothing special about him fairly average, place him in the reserves until his loan ends.
Individual Training Focus - None
Ben Alnwick - Very average and will never become great, up to you what you do, i personally transfer list him.
Individual Training Focus - None
Possible Ins 'n' Outs!
Outs:
Ben Alnwick - £350k
Heurelho Gomes - £5.25M (Preference)
Ins:
Alex Smithies - Huddersfield - £625k
Igor Akinfeev - CSKA Moscow - £3.4M
Rene Adler - Leverkusen - £6.5M
Tim Wiese - Werder Bremen - £3.5M
Defenders
Full Backs:
Vedran Corluka - Right sided full-back and extremely talented, at only 24 years old he is a beast, my first choice right back.
Individual Training Focus - Quickness
Alan Hutton - More than capable of backing up Corluka, they can be used in rotation if Hutton impresses.
Indiviual Training Focus - Tackling
Benoit Assou-Ekotto - He is a good player, but not my cup of tea, but i usually don't sell him as he is brilliant back-up.
Individual Training Focus - Marking
Sebastian Bassong - He is a natural centre back but i use him as back-up as a left sided full-back, incase you do not bring in a replacement left back, he is good cover for Ekotto.
Indiviual Training Focus - Heading
Possible Ins 'n' Outs!
Outs:
Sebastian Bassong £3.4M or Loan
Ins:
Fabio Coentrao - Benfica - £5.25M
Dennis Aogo - HSV - £5.75M
Taye Taiwo - Marsielle - £4.1M
Centre Backs:
William Gallas - Can be used as a first teamer, or as back-up. I use him as back-up and he is very consistant, let his contract run out at the end of the season. So you will need to sign a replacement.
Individual Training Focus - None
Younes Kaboul - I usually deploy him as a right back, back he's naturally a centre back, keep him or sell him it's your call.
Individual Training Focus - Passing
Jonathan Woodgate - Injured at the start of the season, i keep him in the reserves as he is no longer what he once was. Sell him or let his contract run out.
Individual Training Focus - None
Michael Dawson - Easily a first team centre back, your vice-captain. An absolute rock at the back, scores buckets loads from set plays.
Individual Training Focus - Composure
Ledley King - He may be injury prone but him and Dawson at the back is a great combo and works wonders.
Individual Training Focus - None
Possible Ins 'n' Outs!
Outs:
Younes Kaboul - £5M
Ins:
Nicolas Otamendi - Porto - £2.3M
Darnel Situ - RC Lens - Loan
Christoph Metzelder - Schalke - £3.2M
Alexander Madlung - Wolfsburg - £2.3M
Midfielders
Wingers:
Niko Kranjcar - The versatile Croatian can play attacking midfielder, but i prefer him as a left winger as back-up to Gareth Bale. You can sell him a purchase another back-up but i rate Niko highly.
Individual Training Focus - Dribbling
Individual Training Focus - Dribbling
Steven Pienaar - He can play all across midfield but i use him as back-up for Lennon or Bale and he delivers, he is extremely consistant and usually pops up with a goal or two.
Individual Training Focus - Crossing
Individual Training Focus - Crossing
Aaron Lennon - England's motor heels on the right wing, very pacey, if he could whip in a decent ball he would be amazing, your first choice right winger.
Individual Training Focus - Crossing
Individual Training Focus - Crossing
Gareth Bale - The Welsh sensation in Gareth Bale, personally he's underrated on this game but he's still dynamite! Quick, and can also whip in a decent ball. Your first choice left-winger. Usually get 30M offers in January from clubs so it's up to you what happens.

Sandro - Young Brazilian has bags full of potential, i recommend loaning him out at the start of the season, although he does perform well in cup matches.
Individual Training Focus - Passing
Individual Training Focus - Passing
Jermaine Jenas - Not much about Jenas, typical central midfielder, not outstanding. I sell him at the start of the season.
Individual Training Focus - Quickness

Wilson Palacios - Fiesty Honduras international, a very good back-up in the midfield and can be deployed in various roles.
Individual Training Focus - Tackling

Roman Pavlyuchenko - Pretty decent striker, i keep hold of him because he is quite useful back-up and super sub! Super Pav!
Individual Training Focus - Quickness
Individual Training Focus - Quickness
Peter Crouch - Standing tall in either box Crouch can be a set play defender or attacker, his height is a massive advantage but he isen't a great finisher. I still keep hold of him again because he proves decent back up.
Individual Training Focus - Finishing

Jermain Defoe - Speedy Englishman Defoe is a lethal finisher and can work with a striker partner or solo. First team striker.

Training & Assigning Coaches
Schedules:
Duncs Training works wonders with my Tottenham Team, keeps injuries minimal, and develops Youth and Senior players really well.

Assigning Coaches:
Michael Henke - Tactics
Pat Jennings - Shot Stopping & Handling
Harald Schumacher - Shot Stopping & Handling

Mike Rigg - Ball Control
David Bechkoura - Shooting
Omar Feitosa - Aerobic & Strength
Marco Rota - Tactics

Calum Butcher - A young talent, great prospect. I've used him a few times in cup matches against lower Premier League clubs, and he performs wonderfully.
Nathan Byrne - Promising 18 year old right-back, not as good as Butcher but still one to watch.
Dean Parrett - Very good midfielder Parrett, with the right coaches and training could become a spectacular player.
John Bostock - Similar to Dean Parrett, i've also used him in cup matches but decided to loan him out afterwards.
*Loan these guys out so they get first team experience!
