Assumtion: You are in approaching the first games of the 2012/13 season
Seing that you have signed 5 players, making it a whole total of 10 new signings, I would not expect the team to be able to play as unit until Winter. Therefor, I would start out by trying to grind out results these months by playing more cynical.
I would perhaps start with either a flat 442 or a Deep 4231, using Balanced - Counter, using possession based shouts. Use at least 3 players in the trasition phase moving betwen the lines. LIke one FC dropping deep and one dmc/mc Moving forward along with one Fullback attacking down the flank and/or one MC dropping deep
